Finally!! I've got some pictures to show off. They're not the best, since my camera is only so-so, and I'm rather inept with using it, but you should get the idea.

 

I've had these guys and their unpainted fellows hanging around forever, and have finally gotten motivated to finish them. I've discovered that I'm much better at assembly, than painting. What I'm attempting to do is use what I've already got to put together an army, without buying anything else. Most of what I have was acquired second hand from trades, ebay, or yard sales, so I'm a little light on special/heavy weapons, for example. So, the plan is to finish what I've got, then make whatever additions/changes that may be necessary.

Well I guess no replies is better than saying my stuff is awful...

 

Anyway, here's the beginnings of another squad. I played around with some of them to convey more movement.

I'm not sure if I want to use the chaos squat as a trooper or as a familiar my my sorceror, though.

not bad at all my man, dont get frustrated keep on keeping on. The more painting you do, the better you will get at it. Trust me, I would be laughed out of the game store if anyone ever saw my stuff from the 1980's :-)

 

I like the plague marine ride, looks good. Same for the plague marines, but they seem to lack something. Have you tried any of the new GW washes? they are the miracle water of average painters like me. Perhaps some Devlan Mud wash on that rhino and marines.

No, I don't have any of the washes yet. I've already sealed them, though. Will that mess with how the washes go on/look?

i like dude, my friends just getting in to the game and ,like you, he is a much better converter. But i had a question on squad 1, is he using elven legs? are the feet a little scrawny? any conversion work required? thanks and props for the conversions

Good eyes! Yes, he's using a set of Dark Elf legs. I think I used them because at the time I was short of legs and had those taking up space in my bits box...

I wasn't thinking to clearly at the time, because, yes it looks like he's running around in his socks. I may have to try to go back and fix that up at some point.

There wan't a whole lot of work involved in using those legs, though; just some cutting/sanding to make things fit.

i think the best one you painted was the rhino, it looks better than the normal marines.
