My UK Grand Tournament Heat 1 2008 report

Hi everone

 

Welcome one & all to my UK GT 2008 Heat 1 report where I will be going through my games. For those who seen my 40k Radio report it will be like that but with a little bit more writen though more photos which is better :) But those that did not see that report, I am basicly going post some photos with note & photos just be from start to finish of a game & due to being tired can't rememeber turn by turn :(

 

Now for those who never know about the UK GT. You go to one of three Heats & this year the top 45 per heat get through to the finials which is held that the start of the year (so some point in 2008). Then you have top 5 best armies. There also some side award like

- Bloodiest game: most VP you got in a game

- one where the oppent give away the most VP to there oppent

- Close game in term of VP..... I was so close to this, round two will go into detail about this... beaten by my friend's friend & well done to him ;)

 

Can't rememeber the rest. Also there is no comp which is what I like, but please do not make this topic into this kind thing.

Edit: I would like it if people could please keep negative comment toward the type of armies taken to the GT off this topic edit end

Road Trip to Nottingham, nothing so simple

 

Well living in Scotland... I had some fair travel ahead with me with my friends, so we planned to leave that 9am & meet up with a few friends for a per-game on the Fri & then get some food.

Bad wether = Flooding on one of Scotland main roads M80 (I don't know I don't drive). So dely by a bit, but meet with my friends by 10am & off we went 5 hours down to Nottingham with a little break in there to strech the legs & get some food.

 

Got down to Nottingham by 3pm when I saw my friend Graham who gose to my Wargaming club in Stirling. He is base a hour out side Nottingham with the army & it was also his first Grand Tournament... he try in the pass but was alway called of to duty. So he was like a little kid that x-mas full of happiness & just the share scale of Warhammer World & was looking forward to the event that hand.

I'd also offer him a pre-game one of the reason for leaving early :D

List: 2x Daemon Prince with Mark of Nurgle & Nurgle Rot (incase of those orks), 3x units same set up as mine in Rhinos, 5x Oblits (2/2/1)

So after fighting Orks that my Wargaming club on the Thur & loss, could the chaos gods look upon me & favour me this weekend??......... nope & this game look like a bad Omen for thing to come. The game was going so well for myself & ended that my friend Graham got two more kill points, in my last turn I basicly aim to try take down a Rhino & his Last Oblit... but dice did not favour me in those last few mins.

So with the game over vs me & my friend Graham as a per-warm up. Loss by two kill points & was unluck to get the Rhino & his Last Oblit which would have made it into a draw & if I rememeber rightly the game finish on turn 5 or 6??? one more turn would have done it. So was this a Omen of things to come.

First Blood

 

Round 1

Oppent: Ben

Team: Heresy On-Line

Army: Eldar

List: Ben was useing Mech Eldar with: 2x Farseer with Doom!!!! & might have another power (sorry Ben), 2x unit of 10 Dire Avenger in tank, 2x 3 Jet Bikes, 2x Fire Prism & a unit of Fire Dragons.

Draw

 

The mission was the one object each, Dawn of War set up

 

The game vs Ben was a good one & he was a relax oppent. Really enjoy the game & was really close. The game ended on turn 5 with nether of us having any object due to being contested.

If it went on for more turns who know how it went as it might been... my Oblit flamer his 2x unit Dire Avnger & Jet bike??? or they might made it & killed my last Heavy Bolter guy as well as killed my Oblits then got my Object & his own object I might killed his Fire Prism or it might survie & go to kill my last unit of Trooper.

 

Also if your reading this Ben, sorry for your Fire Dragon, hope they where alright during the rest of the tournament :D

Here where the turn point of the game is if it went on to turn 6/7. It could have went my Oblit Flamer could have killed Ben two unit of Dire Avenger & Jet bike (with some assault of course) or could went wrong & he could have killed my last trooper holding object there & my Oblit on one wound.

So end of the game by turn 5. We both had models around both Objects & if it went onto turn 6/7 it could have went ether way for a win or a loss for ether of us. As said there my Oblit could have done alright but then he may have not. Daemon Prince might have taken on the Fire Prism, or that FP might have move on & killed my last unit of Troops since there was only 6 left in the squad in the open.

 

So was a close game & was going to be the running theme through out the event where if it went on for a few more turns could have been a win or loss but who knows as the Chaos Gods do have a way of mocking you :lol:

 

I'm going to take a break & then post some more, brain to numb.

Thanks everone. Now had a little break & some food on to round 2

 

Right after having some food & a little break as I been going on/off the computer due to bad internet :P

 

Before this game, I went to pack my army & see Jervies J nect to my table. Once he finish talking & headed off as he was very busy man. He took a few min to check out my Iron Warriors as well as my Fallen Angles unit I made. He was very impress & was more so with my Chaos Runes with there secret meaning.

So was happy with that & when he though I use Forge World door/armour until I told him there plasticard & I done a model making course if he remember me telling Jes G that Conflict Scotland

 

Clash of Steel & Machine

 

Oppent: Rich

Army: Necrons

Army list: 2x Monliths, 2 Lord on Destroyer body, 3/4 unit of Warriors.

Mission: One Object each.

Draw

 

Andy came from Hull & was a sound/good person. Really enjoyed the game & he a good oppent where he will laught no matter what happen with poor dice roll or good once.

 

Also on this note this was the THIRD close game I have ever had. 25pts ahead of Andy.... we where up for the close game award until my friend Andy Snell... his friend won it (well done if your reading this :P ).

 

My Oblit suck that taken down Andy Monlith & was another game if it went onto turn 6/7 (ended turn 5) it might been a win to me with my Daemon Prince in his line as all I needed to was get Andy down to 10 Necrons.

The game vs Rich was very good & really enjoy it. Just annoyed it took me 5 turns to just immobiles one Monlith with my Oblit.

 

As said where 25pts diffrence in VP, I I knew about the award I would have thrown the rest of my Immoblie Rhino (since he got half VP for it already) so we would be evenly match.

But yes third close game I have had. Last one back in 3.5 codex day was 4pts diffence, last one was 10pts.

Or he could have use his Monliths portal thing & just fire hell out me as my Daemon Prince was on two wounds??? so who know how it would have went

Tech warfare

Oppent: Andy

Team: Bingowing

Army: Mech Chaos

List: Daemon Prince with lash, 2x unit of 7/8?? with Plasma gun in Rhino & Champ with power fist, 8 Chaos marine with Plasma, 4x Oblits, Deflier, unit of Termies.

Loss

 

Andy was yet a very sportinging player & really enjoy the game. His army was very cool to add onto this. They are Tech Priest who turn to chaos & has had the army for a while. I rememeber seeing photos on warseer & though how cool they where, back then Andy had a Pred that had hun Servo on the side which was cool.

 

Also to Quote my friend Pete Foly head of eavy metal team in this month White Dwarf. (well might not be exsact quote) It is alway best to fight the same race/army to help learn. With both me & Andy having Mech Chaos help me learn a few new stuff as well :P

 

As you will see the game was a loss as Andy manger to get a Rhino to get one of my two Object I was holding. The game ended turn 5, but if it went on... another what could happen??? As I had my Melta gun squad ready to take on Andy Rhino & my Oblits are aim up there Plasma Cannons on what was left of Andy chaos squads meaning Andy would loss the two Object he was holding (there four object in total).

 

Also before I forget Andy as said was part of Bingowing (hope that the spelling??) team & I hear a lot about them & there tournament result & how they have a Rep (it been nothing but really good stuff I hear) When asking Andy about if he was part a time & told me this. Andy keep the rep of Bingo high as said he was very sporting in ever way. Also it was good (& his army deserve it) Andy army was one of 8 armies up for painting/army.

If the game went on for a turn or two it was another, my Melta gun squad could have took on the Rhino & hold the object there, while the Oblits could Plasma Cannon what was left of Andy squads.

 

But then Andy if won combat we had with my Squad No1 vs one of his + Oblit. Andy could have ran them & hold a object near by.

Intermission (sp)

 

So after Round 3 has been & gone. It was time to called Day 1 a day, head into Bugman bar & get some food & drink.

It was good to unwind & talk to friends & made that day as well as from past event or meeting people from the fourms.

 

Sadly there was no senimer (sp) this year where Jervies would talk to us the GT Players saying what new/planned for 40k & just talk in general & why RAW or stuff like that. Just more chit chat & pass two have been really good really enjoy them.

 

But to fill in the time there was the good old pub quiz which was a good laught. I help by the funniest drawing part of the quiz.... but sadly can not show that due to it no family friendly.... basicly Demonnet getting showing how rending work by a Daemon Prince :tu:

 

Then it was time to head to my hotel & try get some Sleep. By this point of the tournament I was on two draws & a loss. If I needed to make it through to the finials (top 45) I would have to get three win in a row. No presure hay!!!!

Army Tau

Army list, I am not to sure on Tau stuff (sorry for all the question through out the game :D ) just lot & lot of Tau in tanks.

Loss

 

Well if there one army I did not wish to fight... it was Mech Tau. The army was good & my oppent was yet another great sporting player.

It just more... my Iron Warriors dreaded foe is Tau you see... I tend to not do that well against Tau in 4th Ed & seem 5th Ed would not change (my friend Graham was going Tau until he went Chaos).

So thing where not going to change today.

 

Was another if went for extra turns might have went my way as my Daemon Prince had a nice pick of Tanks, then again he might have EPIC FAIL with dice rolls. All I needed was two extra kill points & I also had a lone Plasma Gunner ready & aim that a few Tau tanks. But as the way of thing the Chaos gods are fickle & ended the game on turn 5

 

But again my Tau oppent was good & he fought my friend Kenny a few round before this.

The game was another if it went onto turn 6/7 it might have been pulled to a draw as I needed two more kill points to keep the draw. But would have came down to how would the Daemon Prince cope & if he epic fail he would get a shed load of Tau fire power & then my Lone Plasma gunner could he have over heated.

 

So with the loss on turn 5. I chose for the next few round since I would not be going to the GT Finials I was still going to have a laught like all my four games just there but just not being as careful with VP reason. Just rather go all or nothing & just shut my brain off for a bit

Hunt for the Lion

Army: Dark Angels

Army list: Ziad had a bit of everthing, Master of Deathwing, unit of Deathwing, Raven Wing, two Tactic squads one in Rhino, Dreadnought, Pred.

Draw

 

This was Ziad first tournament & he been out the hobby for a little bit. But wanted to attend the GT as a see what it is all about & for same reason I go, fight new people, get a few games & meet new friends & see the cool armies.

 

This game was a bloodbath on all accounts. In the end out count was

Ziad was a good oppent & was a great relax game. As said & you can see in the photos was a very bloodbath battle no troops left, our commander in bitter combat with each other & the wounds was cause by each other. If the game went on I would have killed his RW Biker. But unsure on the master of Deathwing as he might he made it & killed my Daemon Prince again another who know.

 

Was a draw since there was no troops that all I killed the lone Deathwing that was along with his captain.

 

Again good game & Ziad got me a pint of coca cola (I don't drink boz) for the hard fought battle. As I said because I was not going through I felt better just going all or nothing really.

 

Next up.... round 6 & there more with it being my game 500 for my Iron Warriors since 2005.

Army: Space Marines

List: Land Raider, 2 Pred with Heavy Bolter/Twin Las, 2x 5 man squads with Missile Launcher, 2 Scout squads with Heavy Bolter, 3x Land Speeder with Assault cannon, 1 Ven dread with Twin las, 1 Dread, Captain with Lighting claws.

Loss really badly.

 

It was a shame orignaly Jason wanted to use a Ork Speed Freak army that he had all planned, built & painted for the GT..... some git stole it a week before the GT. So he having to use a friend Marine army.

 

During this game, my Oblits just can not do damnge to tanks all weekend & just a complete slaughter & went for the full 7 turns :tu:

 

Jason was a good oppent & enjoy the game. Just this point I was just really shatter. Put I pulled myself together & give a last ditch game.

 

Also as the heading say there 500. I collected Iron Warriors back in 2002 for Conflict Scotland, then in 2005 my second GT I was attending I though be good to have IW again bring them back. Because of that I been keep count of my game on my sig. So since 2005, well more end of 2004. My Iron Warriors hit game 500 here in this game.

 

Also forgot to say Jason Captain had the luck of the devil on him. How many Inv save :D before slaughtering my Daemon Prinve with his lighting claws. Just could not kill that captain or his tanks.

So that the end of the event it was now time to pack up & head into bugman bar meet up with friends & hear there war stories of the weekend & who though they where through to the finials.

Have some last few drink in bugman bar & waiting until the event team got the finial result sorted out.

 

I did not do as well as I though but when I look back as said ever game was on that one dice roll & just seem the chaos gods like being fickle :lol:

 

I enjoy all six games & all my oppent where really good people & great exsaple of why I like attending tournament. It just a shame a lot people slag tournaments just because the stories they where & most then never eneter anyway.

Tournament are great fun, allow you to get a army painted, get to meet new friends, see some really cool armies, new oppents.

So what if a few people cheat, happen in local GW/anywhere really.

 

So I look forward to attending the Grand Tournament next year. Not sure if I will take my Iron Warriors. I think I got them as much as I like the model wise, etc.. & they got two more tournament in 25th Oct in Stirling & then one on 15th Nov in Edinbrugh. Just wish there more local tournament of 40k in Scotland.

 

If I do got for a new army well right now I am starting a Space Wolves army... I know the new codex is due next year... but just so many cool conversion idea & why I am pick them. My favrout armies being Iron Warriors, Orks, Space Wolves.

 

So now I am home, spending a day resting as the GT really dose take a lot out you.

Yes I would say a lot of the games where in the balance where it could have gone mine or the oppent way with the game but ended shortly. But as stuff happen & all you can do is have a good laught as me & my oppent would sit down talk about the possible out come of what could happen & just had a laught.

I can't rememeber the 8th one to be honsty just after launch was hard to get in.

 

Also yes it all about enjoy yourself as some time the gaming side of thing can just be poo & stressful which I found out in 2006 due to my old local GW the gamer where not the great & I never really learnt anything & just getting fed up. When it came to GT 2006 when I fought a army I made so many mistake like not sending Oblits to deal with Sniper Drones because I though there AP2 but there 3. Just other stuff. But now I go to GW Falkirk as there a few tournament player & I go to GW Edinbrugh because I use to work there as part timer for a bit. Just a lot more challenge players :P

 

But yes last year & this year I have enjoy it. Just the oppent I face I could ask for.

 

I'm thinking of trying Space Wolves for next year but well see how the army get one really ;)

Nice report mate. It was a good weekend (I also attended!) and there were few, if any, poor opponents. I enjoyed most of my games (though Eldar always hurt...) and none of my opponents were nasty/cheating/poor sportsman etc.

 

So I support Insane Psychopath 100% in his defence of the tournement scene. While some armies are harsh, the players are nice enough. Even the stereotypically unpleasant foreign players. Infact, my favourite opponent was from Spain playing Tau (the Spanish Eldar player was a good guy, but it's hard to enjoy playing an Eldar army which has 6 guided Warwalkers a turn with 48 S6 shots!

 

Must say though, it was soul destroying when you lose/draw because you are very unlucky! I thought I was going to cry in my game 4 when everything I did went wrong, but then the story from a friend I made this weekend called Richard who charged 30 Space Wolves, including a Wolf Lord and Rune Priest and 20 something Bloodclaws into 15 Berzerkers and killed only a single model, then lost 14 of his models, failed all the breaktests then failed all his saves for each unit helped me look on the bright side of things!

Spain playing Tau

 

Hi Captain Idaho was good meet up with you that the GT. Just to ask was this the Tau guy for painting??? If so he was a fine exsample of a sporting player. Though it might be difficult with Spanish/English because we everone talks. This guy was ace he was on the table to my right & then left of be for the last two rounds. He just remind me so much of those Spanish folks you see having a laught, eating good food & drinking wine & just alway laught. If this make sence??? Just like those cook show when they go to Spain.

I played against that SW army photographed above. Very nice army, voted for it to win the best army award myself. On the field of battle it sucked and was easy to muscle apart. Easy victory, but great opponent and lovely army.

Yes ever army I fought had some fourm of a tank being

 

Mech Eldar

Necron with Monliths

Mech Chaos with 2 Rhinos, Deflier

Mech Tau

Dark Angels had a Rhino, Pred & Dreadnought & other mobilty area being the Raven Wing

Mech Space Marines with Land Raider, 2 Pred, Speeder.

 

Just a lot people like mobilty warfare & also for me my Rhino would act as sheilds block true line of sight & to help my troops hold object when they could. Like game 3 one my units was posistion (sp) in a way if it got blow up my Trooper would not be harm other than from the destroyed tank.

Also I just like mobilty armies :D Alway have since 3rd Ed & I feel Rhinos have got better out of 30ish games now of 5th Ed & only had four games with all Rhino destroyed other wise barely anything get done to them (apart from the odd immobile or weapon destroyed)

 

While Oblits are just cool & I feel better than Havocs since Oblit can more & fire, help make my army a "in your face" type where everthing can go on the move & be down the oppent line.

 

Edit ment to add this in:

 

Just with my own army way thing work, with 5th Ed come close I desgin my army as said there to be "in your face" & rarely a stand & shot army, as said mobilty more my style gaming. But though do a run down for people intrested on why I took the unit I did

 

Daemon Prince

- No need to really say. With the updated codex they became a little bit more tougher IMO & no longer get killed by Tau Rail guns one reason I swap for a speed lord last two years. Also the Daemon Prince is just such a cool model & he a big part my background since he was a mere mortal back in 2002.

 

3x Rhino Squads

- My Rhino squads where alway pretty much on the move only time they would be stastic was to hold a object. A lot you wounder why bother put a Heavy Bolter in there if they are on the move.

It to use the Hatch when I am waiting say vs Orks or Nids. These armies with Run rule are going to be in your line with in turn 2, know this I would set up in away that they would be out with in a inch & so during that time so I had somthing to do while I wait would use my Rhino while move to fire off a few heavy bolter shot just take some there lot down. By the time they reach my line & weasted a waahhh!!! thinking there in assault they find there out by a inch, then ment I get out my Rhino, fire some pistol, then assault in wipe out a good part the orks. Hope this make sence??

While the Rhinos are basicly there to stop true line of sight & to get my unit in a little bit faster.

 

2 unit Termies

- Basicly deep strike down by Icon, fire there combi plasma into a tank or a elite unit that maybe a bit hard for my rhino squads to take out or just to wound a monster before Daemon Prince assaulted in. With them being close by to my Rhino squads next turn just simple turn them & counter attak if needed & again have Rhino set up a way to stop/limit return fire power.

 

4x Oblits

- Pretty much alway on the move. Alway like the models as why I collected Iron Warriors back in the Index Astarties days when Oblit where not so good but who care a friend mine had great conversion (before metal once). Also nice cheap Oblit are, can move & fire, Deep Strike better than taken Havocs.

Just help with my anti tank part to keep my Rhino squads safe for that least a turn before everthing was close enought to go in.

 

I made my army with 5th Ed in mind, nothing is stastic. As one my friends said in my 40k Radio report it very aggressive & in your face. Only army that cause me problem is a Mech Tau army. But through out the tournament it just seem to be ever mech force as my Oblit could not hit anything :P & as said my Termies could not hit in combat.

But with my army there a lot shooting & then heavy close combat & combi assault with my Termies with my Rhino squads, etc...

 

Hope this all make sence. ALso though there was a lot Mech chaos the armies where diffrent in set up as well. For me a lot this was also on cool converted models. Not really found any weak link in my force it more to do with how people fight against me, how I fight against them & luck of the dice as well.

40K has definitely become about the use of mobility to apply pressure on opponents. Rhino borne Tactical style units are very powerful provided you don't commit for the sake of it. It's a hard habit to break to be honest, as it was essential in 4th edition.

Yes that how I'll us emy own force, try to attack the one weak flank (one reason I find going second in 5th Ed a lot better chose) & just try add that pressue as some oppent do (during play testing) feel un-easy when face 30 Chaos Marines & then follow by 8 Termies + a Daemon Prince. While the Oblit give covering fire. Then around turn 3ish pretty much all unit are in combat slaughtering all that stand before them & useing the Rhinos to block return fire or if I can trap the oppent unit so they get wipe out.

 

Also with the no more being pinned help a lot with Rhino squads along with Hatchies for those nice Heavy Weapons.

 

It'll also be good to see your topic once done, also photos of your Ultramarine are in my albem when you fought Graham.

I'm temp to give my Iron Warriors another run next year most like same list but will wait & see GT heat 2, 3 & finial go. Just enjoy the way they are did not find much weakenss it just when sending in the assaults that the right time. Also mean I will get more practise vs Tau try get a upper hand. But that not for another year, so right now going try get a xeno force done & Space Wolves done in the mean time.

Also got Rapid Fire tournament in a week & a half now with my wargaming club & then 15th Nov my Iron Warriors will yet again see more fighting in Edinbrugh for there tournament.

 

As you can see I enjoy my tournament & I will keep going to them. Already looking forward to next year UKGT heat. Captain Idaho rememeber you got to come along even if you have to bring your girlfriend & new born :) Graham defo looking forward to next year.

Yes Andy try that on me in round 3 with the Rhino shown there... in fact just rememeber the Death or Glory rule there :P but then again we all know Melta guns are curse. Ahh well was a good game & round 3 you are very tired :D :D

I sure do since I was a mere boy in 2002 when I was in 4th year in High School I enter my first tournament being Conflict Scotland thanks to my good friend highly telling me to go & it is also where the path of my Iron Warriors started, then re-born in GT 2005. It just there not that many in Scotland which is a shame so far this year I enter Conflict Scotland double, 40k Radio world wide war. Got Rapid Fire ran by my wargaming club next week & got a tournament on 15th Nov in Edinbrugh ran by the gaming club that also held 40k Radio event. Being part of the Stirling wargaming club Event team I am aim next year to try run a few club tournaments where who ever win it next event be played where there club held or hold it down that Nottingham, let those who never been see it & make the bond between the Scottish Gaming club that bit stronger.

That remind me I have a invite 40k in 40min tournament tomorrow in which I just built some xeno (Orks) for it tomorrow :)

 

I just like tournaments because the games are a great challenge, some really great armies & for me it mean I got a goal to set trying to get armies painted other wise I rarely get them done. Also to meet new friends & old friends. Also one my main goals since my first tournament is, I would like to be notice for my converting skills & now my painting for the army award, with GT nothing to do with the free ticket just more a notice of the hard work I put into my IWs.

 

As said in my last post there of the report. Just find it a shame a lot people slate tournaments just because they had a few bad oppent but then again a lot people who slag/moan tournament never really enter them anyway yet they still try to change them/ruin them IMO, just because there bad losser.

Also I really hate it when people are really negative in report just because there not fan of tournaments or the type list useing. I find it rude to the poster when people try to ruin a really good tournament report.

 

I enjoy ever single tournament I have attended. I take a army I like & has done well in play testing. With me as long as the army from the codex/rule book I am not bother what in them because I would hate not useing a unit just because other moan about them being good. For me it Conversion come first, rule second, then background third. As long as I can do a cool conversion I will aim to try fit it in (like first tournament fitting a Chaos Sorcerer back in 3rd Ed days just because I like my conversion).

 

If the army can not be converted, it not for me no matter how go it is. Sort why I really like my Chaos since seeing John Blanch art work on converting your chaos in White Dwarf UK 202. Also why orks are my second favrout army afterwords. But yes if it can not have a good amount conversion it not for me because I like to make my army feel & look like mine as why my IW are all converted models :D

Darkangeldentist: You ask on heresy on-line about changies to my list. I am now thinking a little bit about my army. I really like my army list & how it dose in games. But recently I been thinking of taken away a few models & adding in a small 5 man Chaos Space Marine squad for the reason Phil Kelly said in the UK White Dwarf when fighting my friend Pete Foly head of eavy metal team/that area of GW.

 

Basicly Phil Kelly said he take a small cheap unit of Grots or if eldar a unit of Guardiens to hold his object while the rest of his force gose all out on the oppent.

 

I been toying with the idea from my list use that this year GT by dropping 2x Termies (so my unit will now be 2x unit of 3 Termies with Combi Plasma) & then drop A Heavy Bolter Marine from one of the Rhino squads. With the pts made I can fit in a squad of 5 Chaos Space Marines with Icon (Ld very very important as alway & I found more re-roll/fearless units the better). Also arm them with Melta gun.

They are mainly going to baby sit object while my 3 Rhino squads can focuse on going "in your face" all out. Though I said they are going to baby sit the object I would not take that to hart as such as my 40k Radio WWW list had a unit of 5 Marine & that what there mainly for. They done as much work as my Rhinos squads done during the event & also in a one of game vs Orks while holding the home object saw away a unit of Kommando & a big unit of Death Kopas in combat with me only lossing one Marine. Held the Object while my Rhino squads took my Ork oppents.

 

So yes been thinking about that. Been talking to enderel (Mal friend on warseer) since he also took Mech Iron Warriors he took a baby sitting squad. So just talking about our armies, what changies since after the GT. Also just how we change them a little. So been a great deal of through for the brain.

 

So we will see as I might try this unit out on 15th Nov in the Edinbrugh tournament. It also just mean brand new conversion end of the day as well which is alway a welcome to my army & see what "dirty" chaos ruin I can get on my banner's/Icon of Glory :lol:

If it gose well, I am defo up for taken my Iron Warriors one more time next year since it will be there 5th UKGT & 5 there luck number/mine (5th Ed, Mk5 of this army in term of models & painting wise, Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company)

 

But I am happy with how the list turn out, if the change dose happen it more so my Rhino units can focuse a bit more in a all in your face assault while the 5 man squad hold my home object.

Just this is another thing I like about the Grand Tournament & I am sure Captain Idaho is going through the same. Where we are left with a lot of through & just trying to think of way to change our armies & bound idea from each other/people we fought for way to improve. So right now I am full of idea & you'll seen Mal GT report on warseer with his Imperial Guards now he go through to the finials a second time (really well done 13th with Guards & you work hard Mal) he'll be bounce idea soon for the GT Finials.
