Update on the Sergeant. Front torso thing is nearing completion, I need to add rivets, and something to make it not plain. I know its longer than it should be, but I'm not amazing at cutting angles.

I finished construction of the random sergeant. I need to figure out how to make small rivets for his loin plate. Note the Royal Redeemers chapter symbol on it.

My sister's dog is being sent home tomorrow from New York (I live in California) so I won't be able to spray this until Sunday? I'm marching in my school marching band in the Oakland Christmas Parade..which will be filmed, and put on TV on the...14th?

I've given rivets a go recently. I rolled out a long thin sausage of GS, allowed it to cure and cut a slither off to glue on as i need one. It's worked quite well so far.

The sarge is looking good, but i feel that where the plates meet the torso it is a little bland. Maybe a trim of plasticard around the top edge would help with this?

I like the GS idea, I've been thinking of trying it, or just using some plasticard rods that I have...though they are a tad big. I'll try the GS.

I'll think about adding some stuff near the torso/plate area...though, the Chronus model (which this was originally supposed to be) Doesn't have anything but a hinge-like thingie (which I'm sure is for relieving himself =-D )

Thanks for the ideas and C&C

20 pages of bliss...I just need to learn how to cut plasticard. =-P And glue it. I have a hard time with that.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back to life. It might go somewhere after Christmas, because I might get some! Score. (no not like that...)

Merry Christmas.

how about building the skelton out of sprues and putting P-card plates? maybe some plumbing stuff for guns and joints?

For what...the titan? Yeah, thats what I was going to do anyways :P

Can't wait to see more, specially that conversion beamer thing...

Anyhow, the scratch built Libby with the flaming-hands-o'-DOOM looks pretty awesome. :)

I think the conversion beamer is done, but I might make another one, because someone pointed out that it was kind of large.

Thanks on the Libby, I'll pass on the phrase.

I got 2 drop pods and 4 new Chapter Masters for Xmas eve. I'll see if I can trade in the Chapter Masters at my local store (most likely not, but I hope so.)

Thanks! I'm so glad you're my one fan. =-D

Oh right, I'm not starting on Friday. Because! My parents had asked me about 2 weeks ago, if I wanted to go ice skating with my extended family (its tradition, we do it every year) But this year, my sister has a job, so she wouldn't be going until late, for dinner (also tradition, Buca De Bepo) so they asked me if I wanted to go, I said no, because she wasn't. But at first, at the Xmas party, they asked " You're going to the ice skating right?" and hell..I can't really say 'no' because everyone wanted to know..but I had SWORN I told them I would only go to dinner...SOOO no starting on Friday... :)

3 hours..thats how long it took to make a DROP POD..holy :) that is SO much time...Definitely harder than a Rhino..by FAR..I think it was harder than a Land Raider even. Coming from someone with MY modeling ability =-D hahahahah. there was a lot of 'holding together' and 'do this WHILE you do that' and SO. MUCH. FLASH. There were 13 points where the things that go up the sides (between the doors) were attached to the sprue..AND THERE ARE 5 OF THOSE!! holy cow..

3 freaking hours..holy crap. AND thats without detail! Detailing on Saturday, or tomorrow night (I have a party here...) Sorry for delay on that basing video.

I still need to magnetize it, and of course, paint it. But..for my first Drop Pod, results wise, I'll give it an 8/10, as a model, 4/10. Horribly made by me.

Design (by GW): 9/10

Sprue placement: 6/10

Instructions: 2/10

Satisfaction: 9/10

Molding: 4/10

Overall, GREAT model, design kinda sucks...I mean...the way GW makes you put it together, and everything else. (if you have one, I'm sure you understand what I mean)

One down, one to go.

OH, and if anyone is looking for the 4 Chapter Masters (from Apocalypse) I'd gladly trade them for a 10 man Tactical Squad. (NIB wanted, mine is still in shrink wrap!)

Yeah, we all face that sometimes.

I lied..our party ended earlyish, so I started on my Titan..on Friday =-D Almost got the head done, but my right index finger is throbbing from cutting the plasticard. These instructions are EASY!! This 'head' looks better than anything I've scratch built (LRE doesn't count, because thats a kit bash, an the Tau Titan flopped..badly)

Picture one: The paper test...it came out Okay...

Picture two: The cut out (plasticard) of the upper head assembly

Picture three: Lower head assembly taped to the plasticard

Picture four: Where the three base pieces go.

I need to cut out the lower head assembly before I can start bending the upper head assembly.

Thanks, the GS work was my friend's doing. The conversion beamer was deemed done a while ago. I'm going to have to make another one at some point, because that one is a bit large.

You have to search for them. I'm not at liberty to send them around. Sorry
