Corbulo
Hey guys, I'm a Daemon Hunter player for the most part but I recently painted up a St. Celestine for a friend and I thought I would share it with you all. It's definitely one of the best figs I've painted up. I hope you all like it :) Front http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/Corbulo/StCelestine/IMG_1692.jpg Side http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/Corbulo/StCelestine/IMG_1695.jpg Rear http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/Corbulo/StCelestine/IMG_1696.jpg Other Side http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/Corbulo/StCelestine/IMG_1699.jpg Corb Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151610-st-celestine/ Share on other sites

Toogeloo
I love how the Ardent Blade looks smoldering as if it is warming up to fire or cooling down from a recent discharge. Melissia
I like the back of her cloak personally. The pattern is quite nice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151610-st-celestine/#findComment-1764451 Share on other sites
- 7eAL -
But what is the pattern supposed to be, if anything? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151610-st-celestine/#findComment-1769005 Share on other sites
LoneSniperSG
But what is the pattern supposed to be, if anything? Looks like it's supposed to be rose stems. There are thorns and such. It's things like this that make me glad I am on the Emperor's side. She looks scary.. Melissia
Also consider that her sword is on fire, and that she burns with the Emperor's energy so brightly that heretics can barely even lift their gaze up to meet her, if they can at all. Fun stuff. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151610-st-celestine/#findComment-1771150 Share on other sites
Tauren
What did you use for the little base crystals? I am considering using cut crystals for my Grey Knights basing and such and was kinda curious... Coppella
The crystals look like trimmed up sprue bits. One of the guys at my local game store used sprue bits for his necron's bases. They're simple, and look great. to the OP: Your friend should love it. Looks great! Corbulo
The pattern on the cape is a random series of lines and curves that I drew but wanted them to flow together on different folds of the cape. As for the crystals Tauren, Coppella is right. I just took a plastic sprue (everyone has lots of these I'm sure) and snipped off little chunks. I then took a modeling knife and carved off some of it. The pieces were small and the knife very sharp, needless to say be careful when you cut them up. Other than that it's easy and with your GKs it should be really nice  Corb Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151610-st-celestine/#findComment-1771694 Share on other sites
Elenaria
Ooh, you are painting her with open eyes! Nice twist, there, I like it. Also, you manage the using of a mainly warm colour-scheme with dots of cold pretty well. And like others have said, the back of the cape is nice indeed.
