St. Celestine

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm a Daemon Hunter player for the most part but I recently painted up a St. Celestine for a friend and I thought I would share it with you all.

It's definitely one of the best figs I've painted up. I hope you all like it :)

The crystals look like trimmed up sprue bits. One of the guys at my local game store used sprue bits for his necron's bases. They're simple, and look great.

to the OP: Your friend should love it. Looks great!

The pattern on the cape is a random series of lines and curves that I drew but wanted them to flow together on different folds of the cape.

As for the crystals Tauren, Coppella is right. I just took a plastic sprue (everyone has lots of these I'm sure) and snipped off little chunks. I then took a modeling knife and carved off some of it. The pieces were small and the knife very sharp, needless to say be careful when you cut them up. Other than that it's easy and with your GKs it should be really nice

Ooh, you are painting her with open eyes! Nice twist, there, I like it.

Also, you manage the using of a mainly warm colour-scheme with dots of cold pretty well. And like others have said, the back of the cape is nice indeed.
