Been really busy but decided to knock up an Ironclad as I can't wait till next summer for the plastic one.

Hammer is still under construction.

What are peoples thoughts so far?

looks great simple but effective idea that looks great (i presume the metal bits are from the venerable dread - or is the torso from elsewhere?)

i think the hurrican bolter would look better if it had the eagle on the other side too it looks slightly one sided at the moment although i suppose it could be the weapon on the other side that emphasises this.

cant wait for this to be finished :D

I love all your work (though have never before posted a reply saying so for some reason...) and this is no exception - easily the best and most original Iron Clad conv. I've seen.

My only gripe with this model is the eagle on the bolter arm - I can see why you have put it on but, in the pics at least, it seems to make the right arm too big and stick out too much. This may just be the pics and it looks alright in real life but from what I can see that's my opinion. Unfortunately I can't think of an alternative to make the bolters seem less obtrusive bar chutting the guns themselves down...

Again amazing job. I'll be following this like I do my ex-girlfriend...I mean...um...*cough*...yeah...

Great work so far, keep it up. However I have to agree with the others in saying the eagles head sticks out too far. You may want to look at cutting a section out of the panel behind it so you can "countersink" it level with the barrels of the bolters. Other than that, awesome, can't wait for the hammer.

Thanks guys, It doesn't look so bad in person but i'll admit that it looks bad on the pic. The problem I think is that the bolters are much closer in than normal Dreadnought weapons so it makes the eagle look wrong by comparison. The hammer arm will mirror the Bolter arm whoich will hopefully balence the model. The only problem I have now is that the hammer itselt is too small aaarrrggghhh!! I'll get there i'm sure

There are some really nice touches there - I presume that you've used an Iron Warriors head and parts from the Venerable Dread too? I agree that at the moment the Eagle on the boltguns looks too far out, but if it's mirrored on the Hammer Arm it might balance things a bit. I can't wait to see this finished and painted.

And now ladies and gentlemen, He has an arm!!

Made out of an old chaos dread hammer, Forgeworld seige drill, land speeder and metal venerable.

Very nice work, now I see what you were wanting that Chaos Dread Hammer for. :P

Lovely conversion, definitely how I'd envision the Ironclad to be, and it also gives me plenty of ideas for the random bits of metal Venerable Dreadnought that I have kicking about.

realy realy good conversion, deffently puleld off the hammer arm very well!

i was going to say maby you should look at the old chaos dread for a hammer but you were one step ahead =P

very good job, i think its perfect.

well done!

Edit: ye on second thorts the hammer arm neads to be just a little bigger in the houlder to balance it out with the bolter arm, but still very good.

Really good. I agree with the others about balancing the hammer arm with the Bolter arm just to give it some symmetry. But nice use of bits, I've been looking forward to seeing what people are doing for the Iron Clad as I haven't got a clue where to start. This is one of the best I've seen so far. Sweet.

Great work!!!

Really clean work; I like the way you tucked in the Hvy. flamer under the torso, the 'Cane bolters look like a kit their so clean.

What bit is his left shoulder made of?

I'm guessing the left shoulders made from parts of a land speeder, but I'm not sure.

Its looking very nice!

the only thing i would do is try and scale the right are a little more with the hammer arm and body. im not sure if you are any good with gs, but a scratch built head could really pull the piece togther.
