I finished the bodies of the Chapter Masters, and don't want to start on their arms, because they're on a solid piece of pewter..and my clippers are already in bad condition due to these first four models.. I was going through the stuff I got..and I found this. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_20871.jpg For one of my Vanguard Vets...If you notice, there wasn't enough pewter put into the mold...which means I get to call GW services to get a replacement (hopefully a whole model =-D ) but...I threw the box away yesterday while doing the garbage...so I don't have the number, I think it should be okay. Heres what my Librarian looks like. Except I'm in need of a right armed Power Fist, and a BT torso w/ tabbard. I've already found the Power Fist I need, but the guy I'm going to be trading with can't make up his mind on what he wants from my pretty loose list of bitz. (by loose, I mean I don't really care about what I give for what I want.) But I still want the BT torso w/ tabbard. The list of things I'm looking for can be found here. I've gotten almost all the flash removed from the bodies.. I might have missed a couple..but I'm sure I'm done. I've finished the jump packs too. They're coming out sharper, without the necessary light. The flash is GREAT! (probably really <_< -ty compared to most) but its still hella good. It works well with what I need it for. Tomorrow Articwolf01 will be sleeping over (after tamale making at his house at 3.) so hopefully, I'll get a LOT of work done on the tactical squad. I don't know if I'll be telling him about the Christmas present thing... Its got the basecoat, but I don't know if I want to work on it while hes here...but I might. My magnets came in, by the way... So I'll eventually be able to finish the Land Raider Exterminus. Keep a weather eye on the horizon... (cuz thats apparently where I'll be coming from... ? =-p) Possible pictures tomorrow evening, maybe even of Articwolf01's Royal Redeemers. The first time I had a problem, (one of my Ravenwing bikers was missing a bolter) they sent me a whole new bike! The last time...(incident with the 100 'Nids and white spray) They wouldn't reimburse me. So I hope they will. @Captain Mick: Me neither man, but I'm still trying to remove all the friken flash off these things!?!?!. I think I'm going to do a bit of painting right now...maybe. So I'm waiting for it to dry and harden. Then I'll wash all the models with warm, soapy water, because they feel kinda slippery. Then paint. This image has been resized. They turned out HELLA nice. I have the other Librarian model (with the staff), personally its one of my favourites. The Sternguard and Vanguard models do look very nice straight out of the box and i wish i had money to buy both box sets. Yeah, all these metal minis look fantastic, but if you don't model or convert them, you'll have squads with two of the same guy. =-P I've come to realize, that its hard for people to comment on something that has no paint, but yet..when I finally finished my Terminators, nobody commented then either... (gee, they're both hands..) This would have fit much better there, but its still pretty cool. I need to do more on the Servo-Harness, more detailing... I figured I ought to show you my army as it stands. As you can see, nothing is done, except the Chaplain, who has a gloss finish. (once the squad is done, they'll get matted) The spray didn't really do much for the 14 metal models on the left. I've started highlighting Squad Benedictus. I've been doing minimal Warhammering as of late, because my sister leaves back for New York on Sunday, so we're trying to get as much bonding as possible. Shes taking a nap right now..so I finally was able to coat my Sternguard black. phew. I was shoved from page 2, aallll the way back to page 6 in like..three days, because of this damn [LPC]. I think the mods should have made another sticky, like they did for the Call to the Imperium and Chaos. It would have been much more organized. As I'm entering my Sternguard into the LPC (which I finally broke, and signed up for), I want to get starting by the 15th the latest. I think that progress for these guys should be quick, because theres SO much detail, that it'll be faster doing that then doing black and blue highlights. So it is sort of random. But it'll be randomly ordered..If you catch my drift. Never this thread before, but I do like. The colour secheme is very good. Never?! Well, thank you! DAMN to the depths with all these LPC posts, I didn't even know I got replies on this or my LRE threads. Yarrg. (I'm a space pirate) But, I did do some painting this evening. Watched Stardust with my family (its Okay...) and got the blues on my Sternguard based out. I also was able to do the highlights on two of . I will tell you, the light was less than adequate, as in, the tall lamp was 10 feet away from me, so I couldn't really see where or how I was painting.
