Fire Hammers: Master of the Forge WIP

this is a model for my Master of the Forge on a bike with a conversion beamer (decided not to go with the old space crusade design). According to BlindHamster (creator of an awesome Commander Dante model) there's a guy on this site that has had the same idea but i've not seen it yet. Anyway, crits welcome as usual.

You can see the conversion beamer is attatched to the bike in the first pic. About a third of the way down the page is a finished pic.

Yours looks very good, and different from the one shown in the link. Not really the "same idea." I just love to see how different people create things there aren't minis for (He'Stan, conversion beamers, etc). Your's looks ace!

WOW! love it but im not sure there is one but i cannot see some sort of stand support. As macho as space marines are i think that the huge gun may be slightly impractical when zooming round the battlefield :D but dont get me wrong the model is awesome and the gun conversions looks really clean good job ^_^

Cheers for the comments guys! much appreciated.

Warforger - he does indeed have an adeptus mech shoulder pad on ^_^

THE FATED FITH - i agree, it is , ahem....." slightly" impractical :D there's no stand support, but I did consider a large holster kind of arrangement on the back of the bike.

Great pose and a conversion.

Maybe cover the Heavy Bolter's shell ejector with a techy bit or green stuff, as I don't see the beamer ejecting shells.

And the backpack could be a bit more customized for a techmarine. Just my two cents.

From what I saw on you're DA test model, I can't wait to see your TM painted.

Rock on.

i must say it's been awesome getting a load of good comments from everyone, thanks!

risK - yeah i think when i remake him later in the year (after i find out how useful he is in battle) i'll add a lot more techmarine stuff to him, for now i think i'll add an exhaust vent or similar onto the shell ejector on the H/bolter (i should have done that before i started painting :wallbash: )

shotsonfire79 - go for it, would love to see what you come up with, your termy with conversion beamer was a good use of bits and looks more like the original design than mine.

rindaris - hehehe, playing against necrons soon, built this as my monolith hunter. Would love to see what you come up with for yours.

here's an updated pic of him partially paintedhttp://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq132/DarkWrath_photos/MotF.jpg

Are you using standard marine legs, biker legs or some mix between the two? Because the pose looks absolutely awesome and I would love to use it on some biker conversions (Most of the poses of my army are kinda static but I have not found a way to do static bikers. Yet)

Cathar the great - they're just standard biker legs with a bit of repositioning and GS, will use repositioned normal marine legs for the next version as the right leg should be bent up slightly for a more stable firing position.

bigmackey - nice! it's been ages since i picked up a 2000AD comic. definitely a badass pose!

Here's another update. progressing at the speed of a glacier at present as i've so much other stuff i'm working on. i did however add a cover over the H/bolter casing ejector, it's part of a spare hunter-killer missile i had lying around.
