Grand Master Tyrak
Am I the only person here who is not quite as excited about a psycannon-armed Land Raider? My GKs can take psycannons, if I'm paying for a Land Raider I'd rather take it as an anti-tank choice. (Apocalyse is another story though). Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon that FW gave GW a kick up the backside by giving GKs some love, but I can't see myself using the psycannon-armed Land Raider. benmothershaw
I think it has flamestorm incinerators too. I agree, a all pyscannon Land Raider isn't all as good as it seems, unless it's cheaper (pts) than the godhammer. It's a weaker version of the promtheus w/2 Heavy Bolter sponsons. Certainly a cool model though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152213-new-gk-releases-from-forge-world/page/2/#findComment-1775125 Share on other sites

With that load, it's the perfect anti-deamon LR. After all, they have only one vehicle. Of course, that bogs us down further into the "uber-specialized" army. But you can still take regular LRs when facing other opponents. Mind you, against Nids, its pretty good also. Just as long as you keep it away from the big critters... KingDeath
I realy hope that the Razorback is not just an Ordo Malleus vehicle. It would give a pure GK army quite some aditional punch. ( and i would just love to combine one with a Dev squad...*drool* 5 psicannons, one of them twinlinked ;) ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152213-new-gk-releases-from-forge-world/page/2/#findComment-1775581 Share on other sites

Also, are you thinking of a Purgation Squad? When I hear the words "Devastator Squad" in conjunction with "Grey Knights" I get horrible images of GKs being turned into a carbon copy of vanilla Marines and being incorporated into the next C:SM. jakehunter52
Oh, so I thought I might put this up here since I noticed it had been a matter of discussion. So I guess Forgeworld already updated their update and you can find it here: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/pdf/ia2-update.pdf Fixed the Land Raider conundrum, it turns out that you can't switch out the TLLC for Psycannons (which I thought was meh IMO) but you can for the HB, hence the model they came out for it. Also, they switched up the Dreadnought, can't take a Heavy Flamer anymore but instead an incinerator which is no longer an option for switching the Multi-melta with. Yeah for prompt updates! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152213-new-gk-releases-from-forge-world/page/2/#findComment-1779480 Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
Ok, that does it... I now have to rewrite my army list to have a GK Grand Master w/ Terminator Retinue, my WH Inquisitor as an allied unit, and turn her Land Raider dedicated Transport into a GK HS Land Raider just so I can have twin-linked psycannons on it. At least this way I can add teleport homers to my Inquisitorial Storm Troopers. May have to drop my Retributor Squad though... oh well, they don't do that much anyway  Edit: Now the question is do I shell out extra points for "her" Land Raider to be Blessed, have Sacred Hull, and take psycannon bolts for the Storm Bolter too... This could be... tastey! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152213-new-gk-releases-from-forge-world/page/2/#findComment-1779492 Share on other sites
Skyhawk
Yay for GK Dreadnought Drop pod!! Yay for quick fixes. Hmmm You might think that, but numbers of times we are able to deploy within a LR... so why not a razorback? Also I remember the Armegeddon first War, the GK's were deployed by DS but still Aurellian met Lord grimmar on foot? Or inisde a LR? A razorback would seem most likely. Also Teleportation for GK's is still a specialisation just as a purgation squad is specialised. It wouldn't actually be hard to inco-operate a GK Razorback, being a specialisation. Adoremus
I have to say that the new FW kits are too sweet to say NO. Given the current exchange rate between EUR and GBP my dealer gives a 20% discount on all FW stuff currently. But to be honest, I would have bought the GK Redeemer anyway and have just added a TL-psycannon and extra armor which almost to build my new darling for Apocalypse games and when I am going up against a friends Orc. The flamestorm incinerators may even see some action against a friends SM army. I like winning, but in the end, I play for the fun of it and I love an army with character more than one built for effectiveness. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152213-new-gk-releases-from-forge-world/page/2/#findComment-1780206 Share on other sites
