I saw much of the WIP of this and didn't know what to make of the width of the Dreadnaught. Now that it's all painted up and finished I agree that somehow the sizing works. As I said in the other forum there are some great use of bits including the venerable Dreadnaught and Iron Warrior parts.

Well done. You should be very pleased.

Wow!

Those three models are not only amazing loooking, but think of all the mayhem they'll cause with deepstriking!!!

Great job all around, I'm calculating how much to build 3 dreas for my Steel Confessor army.

One question,

On the hurricane bolter sponson;

What is that decorative eagle bit on the sponson's front fairing?

Is it from a building kit?

What bit is it??

Great vision overall!

Really excellent! I saw your work in progress post but I can't find it now, can you tell me what you used to bulk out the Dread armour like that? It really makes the Ironclad look formidable :tu:

goodness is that dread intimidating looking! it is like a 40k version of ED-209 from Robocop. I could only imagine the damage (and amount of ammunition it goes through) in a matter of 10 seconds! Amazing job AngelsBlade, AS ALWAYS

That is one seriously awesome looking ironclad. I would have to say that it is the best looking ironclad conversion I've seen by a long shot. I like the whole army, and have been watching your progress from the start. You sir are a god at conversion work and painting. Keep up the good work.

Firstly, Wow thanks for that guys. Means a lot when people like your work.

They are from the landspeeder bumper chopped up (all my bits come from bitzbox.com)

Its from a building kit but i have no idea which one! sorry

Awesome work AB, you really do have a bit of a thing for Dreadnoughts don't you? msn-wink.gif

Oh yeah, got 2 more to paint in the cupboard!! taking the total to 15!!

Played in my store today. Deepstruck the Ironclad and Seige dread on the 1st turn. By the end of my second turn they had killed 15 Necron Warriors, 2 lords, 1 toumb spider and a heavy destroyer!!!

Ouch!

Cheers AB

As you can see from my thread, I am a dread head as well, and I just want to say that your ironclad is a brilliant model. You have created a very unique looking model and it should inspire your troops and instill fear in the enemy.

Bravo!
