While neglecting my Razorback refurb project, I completed my very first Assault Marine. Huzzah!

He was definitely fun to paint. Srta fiddle yo work with on the paint rig, since I only had one foot to pin him by, and the old pewter jump pack weighs a TON and kept falling off my backpack holder.

His squadmates are on the way, someday!

Awesome painting dude. Your jump pack is custom or i have other version in my assault guys ? if its custome then its very nice done. great chapter and squad freehand painting, its not easy to make it. I would only add some shadow grey or codex gray highlight on belts on chest, to break the dark. And make highlights a bit lighter cause i like when it pop. Keep painting, can't wait to se more :)

Good job, bro. Thats a very good 1st assault marine. The freehand symbols look good, and I agree the 2nd ed jump pack is a nice touch. The blue looks nice and deep. I think the only thing that needs just a little more attention is the jump pack straps across the chest. Its a little too quiet for me. But other than that its an outstanding 1st Assault marine. :D

Thanks all.

I agree on the pack harness. Very flat. I think I need to line it out with a 50/50 grey/black mix. I tried a striaght grey highlight, but it was a bit tTOO stark.

@Akozz. Not a custom pack. It's an older-edition pewter jump pack, that pre-dates the plastic kits.

Very nice work indeed, not much to improve except that I'd consider giving the metallics 1 or 2 more washes of brown/black ink. Would certainly improve the effect and make them "pop" more :tu:

Other than that, really good work mate
