Force Weapons and We'll Be Back

Does the instant-kill psychic power in Force Weapons negate We'll Be Back rolls when fighting a multi-wound necron?

And does the necron orb thing that grants We'll Be Back rolls even against instant death and power weapons, etc. work against this?

1. If you mean does it's Instant death count as Instant Death for determining WBB then yes it does.(Except Daemon Hunter Force Weapons that slay outright, sigh...but thats a whole different issue)

2. That is entirely the point of the Res Orb. Why would you think this type of Instant Death to be different? That is a serious question by the way, not an insult. I am curious.^^

Hey,

That is entirely the point of the Res Orb. Why would you think this type of Instant Death to be different?

If, for instance, the aforementioned Instantly Dead multi-Wound model was the one modeled with the Orb?

If it is an Instant Kill, then the Necron Lord dies. If he has the Res Orb, he will get his WBB roll. Getting one wound back, unless he has the Phylactery, which with this piece of wargear could give him back all his wounds.

Yes, that is the main reason for the Necron Lord to get this item. To protect him and units near the orb from Instant Kills and Double Toughs.

1: Yes, because close combat attacks that ignore armor saves are one of the things that negate WBB.

2: Yes, that's the function of the Res Orb.
