Started Painting my Word Bearers

Ganuus

Recommended Posts

I have about 3k worth of Word Bearers unpainted right now. I just never had the heart to paint them because I could never get a red I was satisfied with (4th ed dex ruined it for me, I can't get that crimson). Well finally I found something good enough, and it's quick. Painted him up in about 2 days. Usually it takes me that long on a torso of a marine.

Without further adieu:

I was going for a dark and dirty in the dark future there is only war feel. Lots of black, and lots of grime. Who cares about how it looks, so long as it kills. I used (because you cant tell) a medium silver for the trim, because it's just that, trim. A darker for the actual metals, and light silver on the pneumatic pistons, after the wash so that they look super clean, just like real ones do. Golds for a bit of flair.

Well, I don't remember exactly, but I just read Kikkala's thread on how to do his, through another WB's thread. It looks about the same as this, I'd recommend you try that.
