rooster27 Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 i have recently convinced some of my friends to do a tale of four gamers with me and i have decided to ditch the diy chapter i was going to do for black templars we are already a month in and we decided that you must paint a HQ a troops choice and a free choice for the first month i painted a chaplain on a bike a crusader sqaud with bolters and a sniper sqaud each month we will be adding two things they can be a nothe HQ a troop choice a tank what ever we want i plan on painting a five man sqaud of crusaders with chainswords and bolt pistols and and eight man sqaud of termanators or some bike marines what do you think? i will be playing against orcs, tau and eldar. cheers rooster Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rooster27 Posted December 13, 2008 Author Share Posted December 13, 2008 i will get pics up asap :( i just found out that the tau player has painted comander shadow sun :( 18 kroot carnivors with a shaper and 6 kroot hounds the ork player will be a problem however with a converted wazzdakka 5 bike boyz and 3 death kopters the eldar player will be useing fuegen the burning lance 6 fire dragons and a gardian sqaud we will be playing anialation. i have also decided that i will paint the 8 termies and a termie chaplain this mounth will try to get pics soon but untill then wish me luck will poast results tomorrow ps:any strateguies for black templars would help cheers rooster Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Alys Dwr Posted December 13, 2008 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Hey rooster, try posting your list in the BT sub forum to ask for advice and i'm sure you'll get plenty of help with how to combat your enemies. It sounds to me that at the moment you are going to struggle a bit as your army is quite generalised where your friends have rather nasty little squads. Are you matching in points or just painting 3 units at a time then playing with them? I think painting a bike squad up would be useful to give your chaplain an escort. Might not please some who adhere strictly to WYSIWYG, however. If you want to appease them, having one initiate with two bolt pistols for every initiate dual-wielding chainswords can balance things out for wound and loss allocations, but strays from what you really want to do with the squad. Model them up to be chainsword swordplay masters, and enjoy the look of the squad as a whole. PS.
