Pre-Heresy Luna Wolf

I'm sorry, but that just isn't a Luna Wolf to me. That's almost perfect for a Pre-Heresy 13th Company Space Wolf. It's very, very blue whereas the Luna Wolves are a sort of light, pale grey. It's an excellent model and really well done and I'm a big fan of your Daemons, but this just isn't a Luna Wolf for me.
:) Ermmm.it exist such a thing???I am still fighting to find a decent base and this one looks fantastic....Wow you are an eye opener ;)

Pleasure to be of service. As a further FYI: Plastruct is the name of the company that makes it and I believe they distribute to both sides of the pond. Do a quick Google search and I’m sure you’ll find a retailer that will help you out.

This company furnishes materials for architectural modeling so they have lots of good stuff to work with. Have fun with it.

It’s interesting to find posters on both sides of this, as if there’s almost a purist vs. liberal faction when it comes to pre-h interpretation. As stated before, I missed the mark when it came to the overall color of the model which is further extenuated by the poor lighting in the pic.

To those who find this shade of light grey acceptable, cheers for saying so. For those who find it inappropriate corrective action is underway I assure you!

Thanks for the input. -OMG

If your basing it off of Philip S cover it looks pretty close, just add black rims to break up the monotany I think. On a side note I honestly think you should go with mk iv helmets but I understand that the mk ii looks closer to the cover which is what I think your going for. Are you going to be doing any crests, because those would look spectacular.
Reserving judgement for when you get better pictures, if it's as blue as it looks it's not a Luna Wolf. Otherwise it's a well painted model, although technically you'd need to change the kneepads and crotch for a proper pre-heresy marine.

Very cool.

That being said, I’m not 100% pleased with how he turned out. He looks a bit bland to me.

For colour scheme: the Lular Wolves on my cover are light neutral grey with a pearlescent sheen (which you can ignore unless you wan to break out the pearlescent paint!). The Bolter casing is white (off-white, a very pale grey). There should be red markings, slashes, to the bolter, knee, shins and any where they need a bit of colour. Shoulders are black trim with red writing inlaid into the trim. Furniture is dull gold.

If it is still looking flat, add a red head stripe.

Philip

Edit: I almost forgot - the shoulder pads are the wrong way around. Logo goes on the marine's left pad.
