So this time I decided to start a plague marine army for tournies. I have to Forge world sorcerers that i'm going to do some minor converting on (add wing packs). I have one squad ready to paint, but i'm waiting to finish the whole army before I start painting. I would first like to thank the follow: Fallout1983 for his tut on greenstuffing sore and boils (I used this as a rough how to guide), plus the unsung hero of the "blown helmet" look. Brother_Beork Posted December 23, 2008 Share Posted December 23, 2008 Well, apart from the fact that they do not look to nurglish they are pretty standard. Which is a good thing in my opinion. I'd sooner see a well painted nurgle army than one overgrowing with boils, intestines and malformations. In that light, I thing you could've made the boils a bit subtler... but that's just me. I really like the blown helmet look, paint the face a nice dead flesh tone and it wil make one of those great little details. Beork PS, another Windir fan? What would your favorite song be? Ein Windir Posted December 23, 2008 Author Share Posted December 23, 2008 @ Brother Beork - I'm not going for the whole bloated look. The look i'm going for is tough as nails and beat up. The boils are the nurgle symbol and I was going to paint them up as a rusted metal. I could shave the boils down a bit now that they are hardened. Tonite i'm hoping to complete some more work on the second squad, but i'm running out of battle damage ideas. Anyone has some suggestions? Peace out P.S.- Yes another Windir fan.
