Ultramarine "Counts as Pedro"

I posed a few questions regarding my counts as Pedro in this thread

He is done now and I here are the pics. He is a little shiny at the moment and I dont quite know how to get rid of it. I put a few layers of 'ardcoat on him and then 3 layers of GW matt varnish. It has dulled the shine alot but as I said, still some left. Any ideas how to get rid of that last little bit. More layers of matt maybe?

Also, its my first real attempt at using decals. I thought they came out rather well.

Anyways, here are the pics. And yes, he isnt based. I am going to do that when I have about 20 bases to do as I like to batch base my mini's

He lives in the UK, as has been bemoaned on this board for many many months, testors dullcoat isn't available in EU. you could try 'Humbrol Varnish MATT 49'. It seems to be easily available and just starting testing it out now... had great results so far.

Actually you can get it, this site seems to have it at a reasonable price. But will Testors dull it down enough. I thought that GW matt varnish would do the job, being matt and all but apparently not. I hope it will as I also have a semi shiny Marneus that needs dulling down as well

He is alot less shiny now. I think the matt varnish just needed time to soak in or harden or something. Still one or two spots still shiny but for the most part he is quite acceptable now.
