Painting is progressing as always. Pictures soon. theredcorsair Posted July 22, 2009 Share Posted July 22, 2009 I can see a lot of improvement from your first marines. Paints are neat, and you've got modelling down. I think you should move on to the next step. Highlighting. A little guidance. Thin your paints down to 1:1 for highlights, and 2:1 for lowlights. Always remember that light is only coming from one angle. (i. e. on the side of the plate that is closest to the light source, highlight that, and lowlight appropriately on the other side. Be more careful with painting primary colours and try to do some highlighting and please, leave your marines' eyes alone, don't paint them... please. Made quite a bit of progress on the first biker - done the yellow (almost) and the teal (needs touching up in places) for the actual bike. The other ravenwing box I've no idea what to do with (since I bought my own thinking I wasn't getting one ;)), the commander I'm using for something else (undecided), and the sentinel was for converting but alas; no dread to convert -_- However I won't touch this lot yet.
