Something that I've noticed. Might sound like a silly question, but since the sgt is equipped with both boltgun and bolt pistol, can we fire them both? Ref under the wargear options "The Space Marine Sgt may replace his boltgun and/or bolt pistol with..."

In related questions, since the SGT and the rest of the squad have both a boltgun and a bolt pistol does this mean they have two weapons and therfore get an extra attack in CC?

Can the sergent trade his bolt pistol for a plasma pistol and then trade his boltgun for a powerfist?

Can the squad fire either their bolt pistol or their bolter?

Does the bolt pistol only count as their sidearm and only used in close combat?

No the boltgun is a rapid fire weapon and doesnt count towards CC, a pistol and ccw would give you the extra attack, but you would have to trade the boltgun for this weapon (options not available for standard tac marines)

Yes the options say: may trade his bolter and/or boltpistol with:

Which means he may swap one or both, and can have a huge different combo of weapons, its interesting to point out that he can take a bolt pistol and plasma pistol for an extra attack (2 pistol ccws) but ma only fire one per turn.

Yes and this happens frequently, the bolter has longer range and can rapid fire, but if you want to assault you would have to fire the pistols to do so.

You can fire the pistol at any time during the game.
