Brother SRM
To all those interested, the Compleat Strategist in Boston has moved to it's new home on Commonwealth Ave. The store is working to set up a gaming area in it's spare room, and is looking to start building up a player base. Games haven't started just yet, but will probably be underway before Spring. I'm working to try and find a good day for gaming there. I'm looking to start a once a week night for 40k, although other nights and other games could be worked out too. The store needs terrain as well, and we're thinking of having some terrain workshops to get things started. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me at battosai810@yahoo.com, through PM here on B&C, or call me (860) 671-9511. I'm hoping we can get a good group going. The store: The Compleat Strategist 957 Commonwealth Ave. (Boston U. West) Green Line "B"; Pleasant St. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/157760-gaming-in-boston/ Share on other sites
Brother SRM
On Tuesdays soon we may be having some terrain workshops, which would mean people could help assemble terrain, scratch build some, or donate some from home. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Contact me if you'd like, as I'll have more up to date info as things progress. Brother SRM
We're getting some terrain this weekend, so gaming can begin soon! Some foamcore buildings, a GW battlemat, some trees and the like. Sorry for the triple post, but I'm the only person to post here so far, and if I just edited a message then noone would see the thread. Hope to see you there! Bran Scalphunter
Too bad you're not in Western MA, I'd be able to show up then. Out here in Westfield we've got the one place, Lost Harbor, and that's it. Dragon's Lair shut down a while ago since Sean couldn't afford to keep it going. But if you're ever in the Westfield area and looking to get a game in or two, drop me a line. Also, I think Decoy's hunting around Boston for a group too. Brother SRM
Next time I see Decoy around I'll point him in the direction of the store then, thank you! If I'm ever in the western MA area I'll let ya know. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/157760-gaming-in-boston/#findComment-1871869 Share on other sites
Brother SRM
We're getting some terrain at the end of the weekend - mostly foamcore ruins, but that, the mat we have at the moment and some other trees and the like will make for a pretty decent setup. Means that gaming is just about ready to go underway! If you know anyone in the area who wants to learn how to play, I'll be happy to teach there. I'll even bring some Orks for them to play with. Brother SRM
There's going to be a big game going on Thursday if you want to come check it out! We'll have plenty of terrain at the store from here on out. I'm also happy to teach anyone how to play if they want! Roland Durendal
Oh man I miss Bostn. Went to school at BU actually and seeing the reference to the Green Line brought back memories... Is the store next to the CVS (across from FitRec) or is it next to the old McDonalds? I haven't been back in 2 years and I know the McDonalds closed and the shops next door were alwasy changing. Oh well I'll be back in April for the marathon so I may swing by! Brother SRM
It's right by BU West, on the same side of the street. There's a Cold Stone, In Your Ear music store, and I think a City Convenience store. It's on the other side of the street than the CVS. I think the McDonald's (wasn't around when it was there) is a Subway now. Hope to see you in April!
