After moving into my new place, I decided to start up again. The first piece on my agenda was finishing my Forge World Great Unclean One. I think it came out pretty good. In fact, I thought he turned out good enough to repaint my Plaguebearers to match him. A little bit of criticism, I think the sword would look better more metallic. Other then that, awesome! Also, did he come with a base? A little bit of criticism, I think the sword would look better more metallic. Very cool paint job on him. I disagree a little with the above. I would say have a few metal areas on the edge of the blade to show where the rust blade has struck something but leave the rest of it as is. Ha, when I saw the third picture I thought the nurglings were actually modeled onto the Unclean one. How cool would that be, blade waving nurglings oozing out of his body... I actually purchased him over eBay and not Forge World, so as far as I know he doesn't come with a base but I have no clue. Surely reading the title would have given you a clue to whether to open it or not; i personally wont open anything saying Nurgle (or the like) with food ready to eat. Back to the model. I did it for a while, but it was so overused I have completely redone both my Death Guard and now my Nurgle daemons to match something a bit more realistic, or at least my vision of the Legion/ Daemons. They would be Fantasy Chaos Warrior legs, using the Doghouse technique (search Doghouse on the forums and you should see his tutorial for it). chapter master 454 Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Ok I'm gonna open up with the factor of: I would only lose my lunch to this if I was really drunk so I've got a stronger stomach or it's the underlying fact I know its just resin and paint!!! (does kinda break flow if you get me) but thats not to say it's not good, it's great exact the sword looks like wood so maybe adding a patch of metal here and there on it to help create the feel of iron oxide (aka rust) on the blade.
