Dark Bjoern
Welcome to the Fang, Whelp. Take an ale and some roasted boar and make yourself comportable. I think you should take a look here. That´s the Fang´s army list section. Try searchy and i´m sure you will find what you´re looking for. JEFF4i
Drop podding is great against Tau. There are also great tutorials for making your own. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1861990 Share on other sites
Bran Scalphunter
Or... you can do like Lars and Drop Pod with Assault Cannons. ;) If you wanna be really mean, take a WGBG with 2 Assault Cannons and a WGBL with Assault Cannon and drop those bad boys in front of them and see what happens. Might lose a few WG, but damn if that doesn't really mess up the Fish 'eads plans. Failing that, Dreadnoughts podding in. Fun times... :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1862021 Share on other sites

Bran Scalphunter
Forgot about the Fenrisian Wounds... er I mean Wolves. :D If you're gonna pod in close, spend that 48 for some extra stick aroundness. It'll help, a lot. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1862038 Share on other sites

I love my Wolves, Vrox inspired for the wounds on that nasty Long Fang package but they are just a really cool thing. JEFF4i
Do you mean Long Fangs or a specialized Wolf Guard and whatnot? If you mean WG, I'd say the WGBL would suite fine. Zeke
I hate to rain on your parade, but the Long Fangs just really aren't the points. You'd be better off with WG in TDA with assault cannons and pods. As said many times above. Good luck with your battle. -Zeke Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1862311 Share on other sites
Battle Brother Loken
i was just thinking because of the split fire rule my tau friends is a mech junky so splitting the pain would be good for me but i am the pup so teach me your ways Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1862335 Share on other sites
Zeke
Never really fought against a mechanized Tau army. I've had experience from previous mechanized IG opponents, so i would recommend trying the cyclone missile launcher for you WG or WGBL, and try some anti-tank weapons on a dreadnaught, like lascannon, multi-melta, ect. Should all else fail, chainfists or powerfists will do just fine. -Zeke Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/158914-starting-sw-player/#findComment-1862342 Share on other sites

JEFF4i
Long Fangs are very useful if given the proper setting and knowing how to play them. Now for versatility's sake, I'd say go with WGBL/WG as stated. That said, this calls for ale!
