aNex88 Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Give the silver a wash of badab black and highlight. Wash the gold with some gryphonne serpia too. KJB Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Looking good Vash, my squads are differentiated by their left shoulder pad colour (around the chapter badge, 1 squad are silver, the 2nd black and I think my fast attack squad will be gold possibly...) Yep, the new washes make all the difference, especially the blue wash for the Grey Knights. May go and finish off my Knights, only 4 Terminators and 8 Power Armour marines to go... Vash113 Posted January 31, 2009 Author Share Posted January 31, 2009 @Cathar the great -Yea I haven't used washes before but I really should, would probably make them look much better. @aNex88 -Thanks, the personal heraldry was the hardest part, I wound up sitting at my painting desk with a notepad and pencil sketching out various designs for heraldry so they'd all look different. @Bucky -Well I'm going to add a Land Raider Crusader to fill the 3rd Heavy Support and maybe add a Land Raider as a transport for my Inquisitor when I get him and his retinue finished up. @keith -Interresting way to differentiate squads, and deffinitely get em finished up and lets see some pics! It's just harsh highlights over a dark base color using drybrushing. With the Terminator power weapons it's Dark Angels green with snot green dry brushed highlights and then snot green mixed with skull white and then finally almost pure skull white, very lightly drybrushed over the blade.
