Avarris Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 At one point i was going to use the chosen to escort my chaos lord into melee and support him there as ive given them 3 power weps and 2 flamers, now they are going to be used as a unit to hunt down troops that are in cover and shooting other units as the flamers will remove the cover save just before i charge the unit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chaos Terminator Nero Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 i have three five man chosen squads. 2 anti armour 1 anti terminator. the anti armours are 5 melta guns each and the other is a 5 man plasma squad. all three with rhino transports and marks of tzeentch 5+ invunrable saves. let me tell you this have been very very affective. Zeruel Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 I use an 8 man close range anti-tank/monstrous creature chosen unit with 3 Melta Guns and a Power Fist champion outflanking in a Rhino and so far it has worked pretty well for me. teh_perfesser Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 The time to use Chosen is when you need 4 melta or plasma in a single unit and either (a) don't want to use the heavy slot on Havocs or (b) want infiltrate/outflank. You'll pay a little more than than Havocs geared the same , but 3 points for Inflitrate and LD 10 without a champ is probably worth it. P.S.: You could go with a 4 flamer Chosen/Havoc squad to I guess, but that would be very very situational (i.e.: for metagame reasons). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
minigun762 Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 I think 8 man 2 Flamer/2 Meltagun/Power Fist Champion in a Rhino is probably the best overall pick. Just under 250 points for a unit that can engage and kill most anything and with the questionable reliability of Outflanking, its nice to have some flexibility.
