jubei124 Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Hey, I'm getting ready to start work on a scratch built 'wolf class' warhound titan and was wondering if there is any official color scheme for them. I have seen the pics on FW but didn't really like the paint scheme and I figured the worshipers of the machine good would know. I play a Black Templar army and was wondering if I could Templar up one or if the Adeptus Mechanicus had there own set color scheme for them. Octavulg Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Titans are organized into Titan Legions, which are assigned to Forge Worlds (and each have their own unique color schemes). Space Marine chapters are not allowed Titans. Titan Legions can, of course, support them when necessary. Finding color schemes for Titan Legions is a bit of a pain, honestly, but if you dig around enough you can find some. Packs all kinds of excellent information into a convenient table. In short though, Black Templars cannot have a Titan in their paint scheme. They are in fact assigned to legions and are controlled by the Adeptus Mechanicus. They only work with the Astartes in a support fashion as they are awfully mighty warmachines. I would find a legion you like the background on and/or paint scheme on and use it. If you really want to make sure it is supported, write some fluff as to way it is running around with them. jubei124 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Share Posted February 12, 2009 Thanks alot for the info. I am thinking of basing my scheme off of the Legio Magna (Flaming Skulls). I have been working on basing my army on the Armageddon Crusade for about a year now and I just reread Crusade For Armageddon. I finished it eariler today and came across this passage. The Warlord, the grey plate of its hull painted with zigzagged black and yellow hazard markings and sporting an array of battle banners, marched towards the entrance to the crater base, steadily clearing the ork horde in a purging wave. So I figured it would be very reasonable and fluffy if I used this Legio. Now I that have the basic scheme figured out I am wondering about banners and the Legio markings. I have searched around on Google, Bell of Lost souls and the Lexicanum but havent been able to find any references to them for this Legio. So now I would like to know if anyone knows of any place where I could find these? I was thinking of using the flaming skull logo from the band 'The Offspring' and placing it on a set of wings similar to how the Legio Metalica Looks.
