glayvin34 Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 So I bought the librarian yesterday from my FLGS that has the scarred face, really cool power axe and parchment chained to many of his armor plates (he's painted well in the new Codex if you have it on hand). The model is pretty nice, but I got a problem with the backpack that came with him, it's just one of the same 3 that comes with tactical marines; flat, skull or vent. I've started trying to pimp my backpacks a little by putting a small crux or other symbol on the back of the flat ones, but the vent and skull are still the same for everyone in my army. I got some very thin chain from a bead store that I'm going to loop around the side vents and maybe string a GS bead or two that I'll paint gem-like (insert obiligatory "pics coming" comment here). How do the rest of you pimp your 'packs? Razrhaghul Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 sometimes i used chaos backpacks, but cut-out the arms that the exhaust sat on, maybe add a skull for vents, or on some occasions have even modeled the backpack into the armor, like semi-termie armor (no pics as i sold those awhile back). Tabor Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 This may seem obvious, but, DA veteran packs? they don't all have DA iconoraphy, some just have candles etc. if you have a librarian, try turning the vents upside down and GS modelling blue/green flames coming out of them... that could look alright.
