Legion of the Damned

Any chance of some close ups?

Sure, Any models specifically, or just in general?

In general, those pictures don't really show off the models as much as they could.

Gotcha, I'll see what I can do when I get home. In the mean time

Here are the assault weapon wielding Legionaries. These are mostly made up of newer converted models, but I couldn't resist throwing in two of the classics I found. (last night I found one an old Lotd Melta gun model that I will paint up soon, score)

C&C appreciated!

Edit:

Well, its a shame that you broke your leg, but I am glad it has given you some time to do more work on this army. All the models are fantastic, and the posing is very dynamic. I love the attention to detail and I am looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks, always a silver lining right! :P

Thanks, always a silver lining right! ;)

Indeed, the glass is always half full  I began to get back into the hobby after tearing my knee ligaments a while back. As you say, every cloud.

The special weapons marines are great, especially the flamers. I am going down a similar route with my guys, having the tanks on the back makes so much more sense.

Now paint more or I will break your other leg...

Ha, Deal!

It probably speaks to the fact that I need a vacation. But I loved having 2 weeks off of work, even if it was with a broken leg. The pain pill merry-go-round I was riding probably had a bit of a hand in that as well though.

Any ways. I've got a little overall shot of the army. Sorry its so small, I'm going to try to re-shoot some of the models for some close ups.

Plus, I just realized, I forgot to paint two things. 1, the bottoms of any of the running marines feet & 2, need to add words to all the scroll/parchments on shoulder pads. I always forget something.

Now for a little update since Its way ovwer due.

Here is a little sneak peak of what is next on the plate for the damned legion.

2 Rhinos with 95% of the green stuff work done. I just need to add some flames to the front panels, but I can't do this till I asseble them. I want to paint the inside before I glue them together.

The skeletal bits is something I'm hoping to pull-off for my nurgle army, I'll be happy to achieve results even half as good as what you've got. B)

Agreed! For some reason that Oblit just makes me think of Megatron :D

Awesome work.

ok how do i put this...... the LOD arent chaos, so no obliteators, and the adorn their armour with bones, they do not actually show whats underneath their armour

well im pretty sure he knows legion of the damned arent chaos but he's using the "counts as" rule to get around that. and according to lexicanum, legion of the damned are kind decaying as they go insane. so if you are decaying, and your armor gets damaged you'd see whats underneath. and i dont really think the legion of the damned guys would care or have the power to fix their own armor.
