Armies of Legend

[/size]

The "Armies of Legend" is the next initiative of the Librarium. The aim of the initiative is to showcase those outstanding armies here on the B&C. Those armies that make you go 'wow', no matter how many times you look at it, because of their amazing paintjobs, unique conversions and crazy ideas behind the models. Such models don't deserve to lie in the dusty depths of the Hall of Honour where no one notices them. So now they will be recorded for posterity and for future hobbyists to drool over in the Librarium.

This initiative is currently in the trial phase. We will be judging how successful the initiative is at a later point and determining if it should continue running or not.

Now how to submit that awesome army you saw or own, I hear you ask. Simply go to this thread in the Librarium Discussions subforum to suggest an army for entry. Please take time to ensure that your entry is not a duplicate. Also, please do not post any posts other than submissions, such as agreeing or disagreeing with the submission of another member. Such posts will be ruthlessly removed.

Now would seem a good time to introduce the first of the Armies of Legend... Mortarion's Metal Themed Slaanesh Army (from Third Edition). Mortarion's epic army is inspired by the old images of Noise Marines with guitars and his love of metal. So you can expect to see lots of guitars, speakers (aka. Chaos Spawn) and even a bass guitar thrown in. And what band would be without roadies and groupies (aka. Havocs and Daemonettes)? Not only is the converting top notch, but the painting matches it. The models are beautifully painted, but the highlight of the army is each unit's freehand banner, with the images and words upon them taken from some famous metal albums. Anyhow, be sure to take a look and check them out!
