Grey Knights WiP

Heya fellas!

I've decided to finally start doing some serious work on my Grey Knights and I've decided to share it with ya all as well.

Work so far only includes some conversions, but there will be progress! :)

Note that the models are currently in "what do I want to do with em egzactly" phase, meaning that they're not yet cleaned of moulding lines for example. Other bad stuff may also be seen (like no whole in GM's Psycannon, that was the case at the time of taking the picture, now he's OK), but pay no attention to that :tu:

For start, my Grand Master conversion.

I stole the idea from some bloke online (quite possible that i found him here!) who did this:

The mini is Carneus Malgar body with GK terminators' arms, and GK tank commander head.

This is my incarnation:

Also, now he has some purity seals added, covering all the Ultramarine simbols.

Next up is my Grey Knight unit:

Champion

Emperor's Champion with custom built storm bolter, GK shoulder is from grey knight tank commander (forgeworld)

There are lots of more pictures at the link: the link.

I was trying to get the unit to be very dynamic, since the models themselves aren't very. I think I've achieved it, what do you guys say?

The Grey Knights miniatures are amazingly pretty dynamic and varied for what they are. I like what you have done, about my only concern is whether you pinned them through the basing material. It would stink to have them snap off at that 1 point after painting them. If you did great, if not, in the future you might want to think about pinning them through the material.

Of course I did :)

If it's thick enough to get pinned, it will get pinned, that's my motto :o

Oh good, yeah I pin almost everything, plastic parts don't get pinned because I use cement. But metal parts get pinned through and through. I am curious, do you have any samples of your painting skill? Are you planning to do any GS work?

Currently I am converting my knights, somewhere between the cogs, chains and little psychic crystals on the base/armor its a long and loving task.

Yup, same as me <_<

Well, to be honest, I'm more of a modeler and a player than a painter, and that's why all my recent work is (and is going to be i guess) dipped. It's a lovely method for getting the least amount of time spent on painting minis, and having decent to good painting results. I have some pictures at home waiting to get uploaded, but they are of my Fantasy army.

Are you planning to do any GS work?

Definitively, but i don't think I'll do much apart from the obvious fill-the-gaps work.
