Lock up yer Deamonettes - The Grey Knights are here!

I really don't like Scibor models. Honestly, I hope those are carapace pieces and he gets busted, but that's neither here nor there.

The dual flaming Dred is flippin sweet. I have those bits as extra as well and I was wondering what to do with them. Great idea.

While your version of the SRaven is pretty cool, I think it looks a tad fat. It might just be the engines, but it looks like it has been snacking on too many deamons. Maybe put it on a treadmill?

I think you should do a tutorial on metal, if you haven't already. Your paint is very uniform. Good job.

Knocked up a couple more of the Scibor Knights range, figure these will make nice hero figures when the new codex is released...

Interesting use of a King Tiger air filter and road wheel (on the back of the other chap, warning inner geek alert)

Btw, they are magnetized onto those poncy bases so they can be put on standard bases for battle!

*gulp* Ok, a bit over my budget! I was looking at this one:

It's a bit less expensive and comes with 10 Vallejo paints to get me started. Is it an ok model?

Buy it and try it Boreas is all I can say! I didnt and really still don't have a clue about them mate LOL, I just bought the Iwata because it seemed to have good online reviews and was shiny!

Anyhoo,

Finally got round to doing a bit of GK stuff, probably in a minority here but I actually LIKE the Dreadknight! I think it captures the Grey Knight ethos of using alien technology perfectly, it aint supposed to look like anything before it, in fact the whole way through (especially the sword) it felt distinctly Eldar'ish

Anyhow onto the pics, went stock with this one but very tempted to buy another and re-pose it in a more dramatic style

Kaldor added the army too

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Kaldor1.jpg

Finally, got hold of a couple more Scibor 'sci fi knights' these guys are much bigger than the GW equivs so thought they might look good as Paladins, if anything is capable of sustaining 2 wounds these chaps are!

On thier 'Mr fancypants' bases

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Paladins5.jpg

And good old fashioned gaming bases

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Paladins3.jpg

Finally a couple 'o nat light shots, if your a Demon this is not a good way to start the day!

Just a little snippet here. If, like me, you already own a bazillion of the metal GK figures and don't really want to fork out on yet MORE unnecessary plastic minis here is a little easy fix solution to converting those pyscannons to psilencers on a non permanent basis. If, also like me, your a natural born '1' roller you will be gracious for the numerous dice this option adds as for some of us it's usually the only way we can hit that barn door!

Simple really, using some appropriate plastic tubing I created some psilencer looking barrel caps which simply slot over the original Psycannon barrels, one size fits all! They are held with a little bluetak and allow me to quickly distinguish between which of my troops are carrying what. 6 took me about 30 mins to knock up, cheap as chips!

I may whip up some little 'sticks' to attach to the backpacks of my troops to represent Interceptor squads but since my troops have colour coded helmets it's not an immediate priority right now

Original Pycannons

And with the Bulldog-o-matic handy psilencer squad destroyer attachments!

Just pre-ordered one of these chaps from Dreamforge, he's just screaming for some GK lovin'!

LOL number6,

Little info on the Dreamforge candy. Stands around 9 inches tall, weighs a kilo and contains 131 parts! 230'ish quid including shipping and special pre-order price, all things considered quite a cracking price, only shame is there will be about a 2 or 3 month wait and I will probably get stung for import duty to UK BIG BAH. I will probably mod a tip on that sword and a pyscannon left hand optional weapon for a more GK look loadout

LOL Seahawk, wouldn't want to meet him that day!

Few more bits and pieces for the Greys, sorry about the poor quality pics, had to use the phone as it looks like the camera is finally on the way out! Just can't seem to get any decent pics of the Greys, they look so much better in the flesh...must be the aegis interfering with our primitive technology or something!

First up, Crowe

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/CastellanCrowe2.jpg

Had these Deathcult Assassins lying around for ages, seemed a good time to get 'em painted had to actually dust them off before painting!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/DeathcultAssasins4.jpg

And of course the SPAAAAAACCEEEE MOOOONKEEEEEYYY! (OK, I know it's an ape, but it really doesn't roll of the tongue as well does it)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Jokaerospacemonkey2.jpg

I like how the mixed unit of henchmen work now it really offers some interesting combinations in a Knight army, should be fun...almost like the good old Rogue Trader days!

Also gives me an excellent excuse to buy and paint every other Knight/Inquis model I don't currently own....yay!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Henchmen1.jpg

Wow, that's a lot of models to fit in that one razorback! :D

I've been admiring your GK army since the latest codex rumors had started a few months back but I'm especially impressed with how much work you've done lately. Everything look very nice and you have every reason to be proud of your work!

It's nice to see so much diversity in your collection too, even the newer models. You didn't just buy Crowe and 60 purifiers or Draigo and 60 Paladins (which would be one heck of an apoc list...) and not only just other GW figures but the Scibor mini's too. They look great on those bases and makes me re-think my own basing plans.

P.S. I second Number6; the quicker you assemble and paint the dreamforge mini the happier I will be too!

2nd Dreadknight finished (just a few purity seals to add here n there). I was originally going to go for some funky deamon confrontation but then saw the costs of the kits and came to my senses...knocked up a chaos dreadnought thing from some bits box stuff and diverting the funds to snag a cheap Chimera to inquis up <_<

Anyhow, here we go, really liking these kits I may well invest in a 3rd and final in the future...

A few Small updates, bagged a banner from ebay, gave it a tickle with the brush and decided to hand it over to the paladin 'counts as' for safe keeping

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/BrotherhoodBanner1.jpg

I also got fed-up with waiting for FW to get those damn autocannons back in stock (typical they have now) so splashed out on an aegis defense box set and used the un-modified ones out of it, I quite like the 'rifleman' look and bonus is the spare bits are gonna go to make some nice objective markers. Crazy thing is the aegis line is actually CHEAPER than buying two autocannons from FW!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/Autocannons1.jpg

I also decided to jump on the bandwagon just so I could say I have been there and painted up a blade using the new funky GW technique, while I aint really a fan of this look on mass as I tend to think it gets lost in the throng (I much prefer the glowing bright blue of my existing blades, they look mint on the table) it should look quite nice on the odd hero blade or two

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/DreadSword3.jpg

Hehe yeah, it's the cutbacks you know, it's happening everywhere, poor fella has to do the work of two now!

Anyhow, Been crossing a few more tees. Got a bunch of teleporter backpacks from ebay and swapped 'em out on an existing squad so they stand out a little, dunno why I just didn't paint 'please break me' on them all to be honest, it's got to be the most stupid design to date all those 'sticky out' bits!
