Rune Priest Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 So, I am painting 10-15 guys (space wolves) to this standard in a squad to be used as either Grey Hunters or Blood Claws. I am a SLOW painter (due to techniques and lack of motivation at times). I am looking for any feedback and/or motivation you guys can lend to help me on my loft goal of achieving a 2k list to this standard, but for now, a squad will do. LPetersson Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 I think they look great. No wonder it takes a while... :) I take a while to paint too, but nowhere near that good. I think they definitely look wolfy enough. I like that the wolfyness is kinda understated but clearly visible. The best I have at the moment is a step-by-step write up w/o the accompanying pictures. If you'd like, I can post that now, or I can take shots along the way with the remainder of the squad so that you have some vantage point to go with the words. Just let me know. On a side note, sorry about the close-ups not arriving yet as promised; I've been dreadfully busy with picture formatting for my Sanguinius guy and it has to be done by early April or I won't get him published ;) ... I decided to just make the pics larger of two of them so you could see the highlights and the sword in better detail. I've been kind of swamped with commission work now... (and they aren't in power armour, so I haven't been able to post 'em). It's clear that a lot of care has gone into painting them, and you should reflect on that when you're short of the motivation that you need to keep going. I think they'd be perfect as Blood Claws. I'd also love to see the Tutorial. I think you'd be best off posting it in the Tutorial Section. If you're lucky, the folks from the Librarium might put in a request to have your Painting Article included into the Librarium Tutorial Section. It'd certainly be a brilliant article.
