Start of a Death Guard force

Finally finished my first squad of 7 plague marines, using the excellent guide by Nurglephill on how to paint stripey white death guard. Apologies in advance on the photography, it will be being remedied once I get paid

The plan is to buy once a month, a 500 point block of the army, hopefully so I wont get burnt out, and so in 3 months I'll have a 1500 point force, fully painted. The first block is 2 squads of plaguemarines, and a Daemon prince.

So, here's the first squad!

The daemon prince is going to be fun painting it like this. :P

These look great!

And I encourage your approach to army building. I did something similar, and I felt it help me stay on task and motivated me to finish painting my purchases before collecting more. In fact I've started two more armies that are WIP since then.

Looking forward to see more of these guys in the future...

Been a few days, but heavy workloads tend to do that.

Anyway, it didn't turn out as well as I hoped, and I still have an annoying camera and lack of proper equipment, but here is a Daemon Prince:

I think the DP suffers only because you painted it like your basic troops.

you can use the same style of painting but with a different colour.....

also pick out his head and skin in something other than that greeny/white.....like a pale yellow or some kinda 'sickly' colour.

the sword also need more detail.

what you have done so far is by no means rubbish. but it can be improved and it is a FAB starting point for any large model.
