Not a new 40k players but now starting an IW army.

 

Wanted to say sup all.

 

I am currently building up my IW force but I have a half finished Death Guard army to supplement it.

Like unit composition, units to bolster, fluff questions/preferences?

Not really I am aware of the Siege preference of the IW and how they do not use Deamons or cult troops besides Beserkers.

 

Now I do have a regular opponent who plays a mech Imp Fist army and currently I have this at my disposal

 

20 x CSM

14 x Plague Marines (Death Guard)

1 x Typhus

1x Nurgle Sorc

5 x Terminators

5 x Nurgle Terminators

1 x Pred (All Las)

1 x Pred (dakka dakka)

1 x Vindicator

2 x Rhinos

3 x Oblits

 

I will not go into the full specs of each squad break down and such att

Sounds like Iron Warriors with lesser chapter fully dedicated to nurgle as support (or Death Guard as support - i dont know if you support counts as or not).

 

Are your Predator magnetized (to work as rhino) or not ?

 

If not, another rhino (better choice) or land rider would help.

 

Oh, and Daemon Prince. He is mandatory in very competetive chaos army.

And sadly no my pred are as they are, but it might be possible for me to scrounge up another Rhino and the Daemon Prince is on my list. I want to convert a Term Lord into a suitable IW Warsmith first then do a Daemon Prince up as well.

 

And yes the Death Guard are as support, the joy they bring as entire armies take 5 turns to kill the buggers can not be replaced.
