i prefer 1, although the blue might be hard to paint without it coming out as a bright turquoise or else 3 is a vey nice looking scheme especially if they are an offshoot of either templers or imperial fists (looks like the templer cross on the shoulder pad but i could easily be wrong)

 

+edit+ which i am... wrong pad isn't it, assuming its the marine painters stylised crux then... oh well

Personally i like the turquoise, i think it has the potential to be a real stand out colour shceme, wheras the others are a bit "another marine" ish....but i've never been fond of the maltese cross :huh:

1 i'd use the metal-wash technique

1. if you used metcalfedan's metallic scheme with 2 layers of blue wash and a green one it could look truly epic

that and i have never seen a turquoise marine before

my list is as follows, best to worst (note I like them all!)

 

3-I like the colors they seem to flow well and looks striking

 

4-That would be great, I would love to see some serious purple marines

 

1-That is a nice blue, although it doesn't seem to blend as well with the other colors

 

2-pretty much same as blue, and too many red marines, (coming from a Blood angels player :lol: )

I like the blue. Add a dark grey to Hawk Turquiose and you should have a reasonable approximation.

I like the yellow (3), especially if you are going for a imperial fist or black templars successor as it is in keeping with both chapters. I think the blue is first runner up though

i like 5 alot keep it like that, but i would suggest a different way of showing company colours as with the red it looks a little busy and has to many colours, maybe cross or line on one knee to show the company like these

I'd have to see what the yellow is going to look like painted to see if it's going to be good. Halving a color scheme like that can be tricky.

6 however is my fave, especially if they are a black templar/imperial fist offshoot... only thing is, whats your painting ability like, because black can be a tricky colour to paint as can yellow...

 

also if you do go for 6 i personally wouldn't do the black tabard, if its a more neutral cloth then it'll look ine and also allow you to add some freehand to it if you wish.

I agree with both. But My project is, after my Word Beares, make an 1st compagny (with 80% of powas armours and 10% terminator armours) :D
