Zsoulless Posted April 5, 2009 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Before I started on my Tzeentch army.. I Was contemplating between one of 2 armies.. Tzeentch or space wolves.. I was really up in the air about them.. I really like both.. I love the over all look and feel of space wolves but on the other hand I really love Alot of the Fantasy Tzeentch artwork.. My deciding factor was solely that Ive seen fewer Tzeentch armies.. One of my friends who owns a hobby store knew about my conundrum was kinda shocked I went the way of Chaos in the end and has now offered me 20% off what I need for my Wolves build to persuade me back... Anyhow.... That long story brings me to this one.. Im now considering a spacewolves army.. I did a Chaos terminator Lord conversion for a friend a little while ago, I think they came from that set.. I just chopped the shoulders off and they looked great.. As a side note I looked at the runepriest again, I must have bumped the braid. It was off set thats why it looked funky and was casting That shadow.. =/ oh well.. Zsoulless Posted April 7, 2009 Author Share Posted April 7, 2009 Thanks Everyone!! :tu: maybe you can get even more inspiration from scibor's "Celtic warriors" I took a look at Scibor's Space wolves the stamping technique he uses looks rather simple to duplicate... They look pretty nice tho.. So You may see me give it a go later.. Ok.. Hes still only tacked together. I added a few more little details here and there and other then a little gob of glue on the shoulder pad on the right, some smoothing and gap filling hes ready for paint IMO. stinkenheim Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 i would hazard a guess that the hammer is made from a kroot rifle as the handle and some piece of tau weaponry (or a bit of cod building) as the hammer head... b it of a difference between tau and cities of death i know but i thinks its one or t'other... i love the model as a whole but i'm not entirely sure about the keg (although it still looks cool...) also good use of the boar horns and random dwarf bits :D really clever combination of bits... might have to remember this when i come to make my rune priest.. as for the painting, judging by your tzeentch stuff it should look great, are you going to paint it old school grey or current codex style shadow grey?
