Iron-Daemon Forge Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 From the admins Folks, The dimensions of the Daemon Adoptables images from Heresy Online are larger than the B&C forum rules allow in that they are too tall. As such, they are not allowed. We initially posted an announcement about this and indicated that, per our standard procedure with over-sized images, the daemon adoptables would be turned into links. However, a number of members have gone back and turned those links back into images, so we're forced to resort to other measures. Daemon adoptables images found in signatures will be removed. If we catch anyone putting the image(s) back in, they will receive a warning. We've already addressed this issue with the folks at Heresy Online. If they are able to adjust the size of the images to get them within our allowed dimensions (and if we don't decide to disallow such image linking*) then the images will be allowed. *There have been problems in the past with similar image linking games. The dragon cave images are one example, though the problem with these is the variable size. A few years ago there was a zombie site that was a source of viruses. The Admins are evaluating whether or not to simply disallow all such image linking games both to protect our members and because those image linking games don't contribute to our hobby.
