mordo Posted April 18, 2009 Share Posted April 18, 2009 As i mentioned on the tutorial threads a friend has traded me FW blood thirster , it came with no horns or weapons so i decided to make it into angron after seeing the awsome work of a guy called Regluc11 (i hope i spelt your name right dude) as you can see here it took alot of work to get rid of all the green stuff left on the model http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/mordo_namsoc/SL370102.jpg this is where i have gotten to so far, i have made a new weapon for angron's Black blade to replace the non-exsistant axe and I am planning to have the other hand pulling up a marin by his robes (the is once i learn how to GS pulled robes http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/mordo_namsoc/SL370113.jpg this is a closer look at the Black Blade made from placticard and greenstuff http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/mordo_namsoc/SL370114.jpg the original idea for this was based of Ren Tao's (from an anime called Shaman King) Kwan dao http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/mordo_namsoc/SL370111.jpg luckily enough the wallscroll is on my wall so i always had the reference to hand once i get the bitz from a friend i plan to give Angron dreadlocks covering the space where the wings connect (not a fan of the wings) EDIT: sorry i forgot to add a picture of his face with a new tongue and lower jaw http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/mordo_namsoc/SL370117.jpg any C&C or advice is always welcome :lol: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Biohazard Posted April 19, 2009 Share Posted April 19, 2009 I think the blade could do with another wash to tone down the blue and make it a bit more subtle, as for scale as far as i was aware the closer these guys were to sustainable warp energy the more powerful they were plus the rules of the warp mean they can make themselves 50 storeys high if they wanted imo. And you have made a good start already. Though I am not a fan on the blade. I guess I am too accustomed to Angron's demonic chain axe. mordo Posted April 21, 2009 Author Share Posted April 21, 2009 hi guys and gals, Thanks for all your input, seeing how this is my first W.I.P i am glad to be getting alot of positive feedback thanks for putting up that link Birdie, that was indeed the one that i used (although my free hand sucks compared to it) Terrible_Trygon: thanks for putting up that pic it makes it so much easier to see why Angron should be so big, and just so you know that model was by Regluc11 who was the insperation for this convertion Update: all the current plates and straps are now primed i will be doing the soul armour scheme on those aswell. I am currently waiting on some bits at the moment which i should have by tomorrow, i have also found some of the last edition Blood letters so i am going to paint them up to stand on Angrons base... if anyone has any idea on what to do with the base i would be glad to hear as i am not normally someone who base thier models alot (other than painting industrial plating on them) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Drudge Dreadnought Posted May 1, 2009 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Honestly i'm not digging the weapon. It just seems to small for him and he's holding it too close to the top. The pose is that of him about to make a large sweeping swing. It'd work better if he was holding it even lower, but really i think he needs a massive chainaxe. The rest is excellent though. But in turn you could make up some sort of interesting rules and abilities of the weapon for just the odd fun match. You know if its a proper match its just there as a weapon.
