Chaos Hellhammer

Hi all

Over the last few months I’ve been working on a Chaos Hellhammer however due to my dodgy arm I’ve only been able to work on it slow time but it’s starting to take shape and I hope to have it finished soon, so I thought I’d show you how it’s going.

The whole model has been assembled, under and base coated and last week I started work on the chassis which is 80% completed, this week I want to work on the turrets before final assembly and weathering. But so far it’s going well

C&C welcome as ever

Oh there is a post on the model on my blog which goes into more detail on how I painted it

Cheers

managed to get a little more work completed on the tank so here's the chassis with the 5 mini turrets completed and in place

I'm currently working on the main turret and commander at the moment will post pics of them once finished

Hi all

I've continued work on this vehicle and have managed to finish the basic paint work on the hull, which means I only have to add some battle damage and weather the whole tank.

I’ll be attempting to finish off these jobs this week and then I can get back to all the renegades and Chaos Marines I have to work on to finish my renegade army

How did you get the white symbol on the front left track guard to look like it was "painted" on. It looks like its been whitewashed. Great effect. Is it just thin paint?

I have an old flat brush (about 3mm wide) with short brisels that I use to stipple on effects like this, the paint is left very thick and then just painted on by dabbing the brush onto the model (first wipe off excess paint from the brush)

the thing to remember is to hold the brush at 90 degrees to the surface and and dot on the paint, I also use a couple of different shades of paint as well to add depth
