Raptor jump pack, WIP photos are to blurry to put up when I first made the Daemon Prince (then paint strip him around March & re-done the model due to some new idea I had, also not being happy with the way the last version was pose).

 

But yes just a normal Raptor Jump pack cut in half, pin in, green stuff to blend it into the Daemon Prince.

 

Also in advance (any case anyone woundering?) I went for these (though Daemon prince dose not get Jump Pack) over the Plastic Dragon wing due to the wing being to big for storage/travl, which my current Blood Thirster conversion is suffering. Also it IW I feel the Raptor Jump pack fit our theme.

No one had any complaint yet in the tournament scene.

I'm just about to make my new 40mm base Object useing some Plasticard for my IW icon for the banner. I'm also going to see about possible making a one more new Terminator <_<

New Counter for the you/oppent object mission (3-4 in the rule book) been made & ready for baseing.

 

Mk3 was made with new idea in mind to be honsty & try to make the banner a bit better, also I wanted to try Plasticard Icon on the banner which will also have some free hand painting.

 

Let pray to the Chaos Gods that no touriest or ignorant person break it like Mk1 :P Still never get over the horror of that, tourist broke it because people can not follow the simple rule "see with your eye's, not with your hands"

Nah!! alway has been, well Mk1 had his left army blown off.

 

But then again it show my oppents that my Iron Warriors fight on to the bitter end (rarely give up in games). I belive there a good saying

 

This is where we hold them! This is where we fight! This is where they DIE!!!!!!!!!! :(

 

Just need to try & get the energy to go & green stuff the base as well as put sand onto them. But lot of new Wolf info hit the internet (some cool models)

Go for it, if I rememeber right a few memeber on hear have already done it (but chaos star instead) & I got the idea from another fourm in the first place :D

 

But I would suggest you make a paper template with all the size & make sure everthing is straigt edge. Then cut out the template from paper, double side it onto some plasticard/styrene & cut away. Just if you pencial the stuff onto plasticard/styrene it can rub off while cutting.

 

Also for the head bit I use 1mm while the sort of jaw area was 0.5mm thick. Then a little micro-strip (plastic strip) on the for-head & then plastic rod for the riviets.

 

Also keep in mind the door, just glue one half & cut away was a scaple & the other bits just match up & glue on the other hatch.

 

But alway use a scaple, a metal flat ruler (those M style metal ruler are more of a risk of cutting yourself) & have a enginer square to make sure everthing is straight when cutting or marking out.

Update time

 

Manger to get some time painting the new Iron Warriors chaos space marine for my Unit No2, also got some time to try some idea on my Alpha Legion unit I'll be adding (as said not to weaste old GW Inks & part I need for my IW on a one of unit)

This was roughly done to get a idea on how I wanted my Alpha Legion to look. I am close enough useing Regal Blue with Dark Angels, Snot & Scorpian green for highlights & then cover the whole model in Black Wash seem to do the job.

So tomorrow I'm aim to get a bit more of a tide test model painted.

I'm still to finish them off which will be done tomorrow. Basicly trying to think of idea for Chaos Ruins. My other Icon Chaos Marines Icon have "that what she said" & "so your face" in chaos ruin. I think for my 40mm counter I will have "this is where we fight, this is where they die", while the Icon chaos marine, unsure no dout get some idea from friends.

 

Finial been talking to my local GW manger about idea for my Display board & the creator was suggested. So been trying some out (sadly most them are to big or to un-stable for my models to be place upon with out falling & that the last thing I want is broke models)

Thanks, because of those conversion I am temp to convert & replace a futher four more out of the five Terminators. Just new idea & I want to try some plasticard work (found a old Imperial Terminator I was trying to convert into chaos agies back!!). But well see what time & money I got, most like near the UKGT as I aim for the army side of thing as well as kick rear in games.

 

But for now I need to focuse on a few other replcament models as well as the Chosen unit base upon Alpha Legion :P

I'm happy with how the Rhino hatch has turn out ;) Had some fear when I was first painting the Chaos Icon, yet knew while painting it was getting to the image I had in my head. Still some tide up, I've also to finish of painting the Trophies before the model is complete finish, but very happy with how the model turn out.

I have the green to finish off (tubes & grenades). While as some will see there some chaos ruin which say "this is where we fight" & then the other part "this is where they die"

I like putting little message in chaos ruin to mock my oppents as my other current two Icon Chaos Marines for my units have

Hi,

The Rhino looks great.I really like the IW legion badge with the red star in the background,it really adds character to the vehicle.Similarly the black sections and the gold trim help break up the pre-dominat iron colouring.All in all i think it's a great looking tank.Well done! :)

 

Good work with the objective banner.Although i find it odd that you chose cream as the colour for the banner.

I assume this is to bring some contrast to the iron armour and to make the banners more eye-catching?

If so,it works. ;)

 

Great stuff,looking forward to seeing what you will be doing with the Termie lord.

Yep going to have a little re-work with the chaos Icon on the banner's to try make them stand out a little more. Other than that no idea as current other thahaving chaos ruin with messages to mock my oppents.

 

Also as of today I got most of the parts to make my new Champion for Unit No2.

 

Though unsure what to do for the power weapon, was thinking of useing a conversion Bobby Wong did for his Bloodquest models. He use some part of the flamer along with plasticard/ork choppa & got this

I was thinking of doing the same however useing the brand new (well since Nov) WFB Chaos Warriors Knights axe instead of the ork type.

For the rest of the champion he will be useing the 3rd Ed Assault marine head with Bionics. Other than that some armour plates useing those from the Assault Terminators.

Be a normal Chaos Terminator though I'm going to try see what Bionic I can add. Also need to try & make some new Servo Skulls to add to my new IW marine base.

I'm happy with how the Power Weapon turn out in term of conversion. Been looking for a way to convert that Axe from the WFB Chaos into my IW force. I cut of part of the back & added in parts from a power axe.

 

Also I been trying a left hand Terminator which I'll be trying on one or two more as I make some new replacements

Still a long way off before being finish.

 

I've also bought some new Terminator to replace some from my other squads & also just to make the army look that bit cooler. While same time I'm waiting on some trade to arrice during this weeks.

 

On another note, still debate on what I should take for my 250pts, basicly some of the tournament I am entering will be 1750pts. I said a while back I'll be useing my UK GT list as the base of this & then add on.

 

Now I'm not a big fan of making up units for one off games & never use them again. For my Iron Warriors the reason behind this is because of the old GW Inks & the part I use to make them into my vision of Chaos Marines (as you lot see there no horn, just spike on most of them).

So with this being the case I been looking that other thing like making a unit of Alpha Legion allies.

 

So idea are

 

Uni of 9 Chosen with Lighting Claw arm champion, Icon of Glory, 3x Plasma Guns. This unit would be theme on Alpha Legion (though still working on the right blue I want the unit to look!!!) as they have been among one of the top chaos legion I like (but IW alway the main one of course)

 

My other though it possible useing a unit of Khoren Bezerker, would be 8 in a unit, Champion with a Power Weapon, random Bezerker with a Plasma Pistol & they would be mounted on a Rhino (though not sure how a Red Rhino would look). Conversion wise base them on Wade/Teethgrinder on these fourm

The IW Shoulder pad will be added from a older model & like wise with the backpack, along with the Guardien Helmet I will also be adding a skull from the Vampire WFB range.

 

Things to come:

I been busy going through bits boxies, trade & asking people for parts for my IWs :D Just so I am well stock, still got a few bits to arrive before I can go all out with some of the new models I have in mind along with the new unit to bring my 1500pts GT list to 1750pts (250pts new unit) for two of the four tournament I am attending.

As said through out this topic I need a 250pts unit & I went back & forward with idea from Black Legion, then Alpha Legion chosen. Then I shown a link to the memeber Teethgrinder really nice Bezerker. After many talk with friends, it has now resulted in a Khorne Bezerker unit which will be mounted in a Rhino these will be theme on Wolrd Eater.

 

But this will not be until enough of my trades arrive by other fourm & I've mange to find some spare Assault Marine running legs.

 

But next update I hope to have a few more new Terminators as I try to improve my models.

Thanks, yes I went to get my UKGT ticket today & got handed some spure by one of the gamer in my local GW which was cool.

 

There a lot to still come for the tournament session (as it not a tournament unless you painted the days before the event). However maybe some dely as I need to focuse on my friend army (commission) & also last night my ork oppent drop the gaming table that my club onto my left hand, so not been easy trying to build thing today :( (I place it that he did this for the slaughter I give his orks, left his army with one unit of Lootas....while my IW's only loss has been 9 Marines & a Daemon Prince :whistling: but in all honsty my oppent just a bit clumsy)

 

But having some cool idea for my Bezerker unit as I am re-reading Skull Harvest!!! So who know, might try & have a Space Marines being turned into a Bezerker for Khorne. Also look cool painting wise having his power armour go from his orignaly chapter turing red, shown the blood/his armour morphie with his body (2nd Ed background).

Just getting some new Iron Warriors model ready for painting that my local GW tomorrow while I wait for some games!!

As you can see I like my trophies & as said they are base upon armies I fought. The Eldar one is going to be base upon my friend & oppent Paul (Monk Fish on these fourm) it will be base upon his Farseer.

While there is also a Black Legion helmet which is base upon my friend Ian (won GT heat 3 last year)

 

Space Marine helmet will ether be another Ultramarine helmet or try & add another Raven Guard veteran. Or possible base it upon my local GW manger Salamander army.

 

I have one more Terminator to add, but that will wait until Sept, this is due to waiting on the Imperial Guard model for Harknar as I wish to use his head, bring some of the old school conversion. Back in WD202 Golith heads where use a lot for conversion.

Then I'm hope to start getting my Khorne Bezerker unit together & start working on them next week. Got a lot idea for my Bezerker. Also I might try a plastic version of Abaddon with the Chaos Terminator lord, no reason just somthing to do & though be cool which I'll add into this topic :D

Alway listen the the voice of chaos. It one of the most convertible armies out there.

 

No new photos from today painting, in fact rarely got much done as I was challenge to two games back to back (Marines & Dark Eldar, dice where shocking!!!!, vs Marines those Termies did not fail a singel save :( )

 

Though my plans for the Bezerker have started today, basicly place a mail order. Still toying with the idea of adding a Marine who slow turing into a Khorne Bezerker but unsure what chapter, idea after reading Skull Harvest from the book Hero of the Space Marines (short stories)

 

Well tomorrow I'm hoping to get a bit more time to paint while I wait for a game vs some Space Wolves.

The FW head will be glue in once I painted the details. On this new Terminators I use the Head from the FW red Scorp terminator captain, while the front body part has spike like the good old 2nd ed art work useing parts from the Halo from the Marine captain &/or spike from the chaos WFB spure.

As we hit a new month, it maybe best that I get my Bezerker built & ready as soon as possible & ready as time going so fast with commission for friends & real life stuff been catch up (this week seen me barely with a day to myself)

 

First up, the Champion is base upon a conversion I spoted on a Photobucket account while I was looking for some idea for my own Bezerker. Like the idea I though be good to give the conversion a try, but try make it my own :D

I still need to green stuff the legs & add a loin cloth. But I will wait until I get the rest of my unit made. Like wise still trying to think if it worth having a Marine who turn to the side of Khorne & what chapter should he be from (looking that Scythes of the Emperor like the one from Skull Harvest short story about IW & warsmith Honsou, or possible a Death Company Blood Angel??)
