Superb. Interesting approach with adding the contrasting green to the flexible areas of the power armour. Did you modify the jump pack with hoses from some meltaguns?

Now that you're back at it with the hobby, please don't hesitate to show us more.

I really like him actually...quick question though. The battle damage on the left greave, how did you do it? Ive been trying to get battle damage in that sort of area and it just lacks that look that yours have. Got a feeling your doing a glaze or wash of brown onto boltgun metal but I'm just not too sure what colours and stages.

Cheers, Messanger

thanks for the comments all

where did you get the wepon? is a black templar bit?

it is infact a mace from the DA sprue.

the hoses are guitar wire they dont bend very well, but if you heat them up on a gas cooker hob or a blow torch and quench them in water they then become very flexable and bend nicely

i've posted a few bits onhere and have an account on amobunker with a project log of various painted bits

boltgun metal then a wash of brown ink, add a very thined wash of black, i then lightly dry brushed chainmail over the rivets etc.

  • 4 months later...

The base is perfect, banner looks great and although he looks a bit static there is something about him that looks as if he's about to explode into righteous fury!

I really like the blue washed metal, looks a bit like oxidised copper (2+, not 3+ for the sticklers among you), really nice effect.

Always keen to see more!
