Galadren
Actually that would be an interesting line. If you think about it, the Grey Knights have no idea where their geneseed comes from. What if the geneseed used for the Grey Knights came from Loken, Garro, and other members of Traitor Legions who stayed loyal and survived? ForTheLion
ye that actualy kinda makes sense  Instead of thinking Nemesis in terms of enemies we cd think of it in what it exactly means :P Nemesis Weapons USed By the Grey Knights! A Heresy Inquisition book :P sounds fun Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175672-hh-nemesis/page/2/#findComment-2080487 Share on other sites

Galadren
the Inquisition wasn't around during the Heresy No, but... At the end of Flight of the Eisenstein it seems pretty obvious that they are talking about forming the Inquisition when they talk about "needing inquisitive minds." Raven Angel
According to the collected visions there where 8 Astartes in the founding of the inquisition and they where all from the same legion, the name of which is not mentioned, and they where all psykers. Loken and Garro do not fit that bill and will not until they are said to have had psyker powers they refused to use in a book. I have my own idea about which legion they hail from but discusing that here would I think be off topic. rocketrollrebel
Night Lords would be great! I do sincerely hope that its not about heresy era blood angels tho. I've loved the stuff that Swallow has written for the HH series but when it comes to the Blood Angels he seems to seriously drop the ball (no pun intended) and make me a sad sad panda. woo 200th post! another beer to celebrate! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175672-hh-nemesis/page/2/#findComment-2081504 Share on other sites

KJB
Various articles in WD and stories in codexes hint at the fact that the Grey Knights were created in secret by the Emperor during the Great Crusade... However, I don't think Nemesis would be about them. I'm liking the Emperor/Chaos gods angle, that would be a good book in my opinion Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/175672-hh-nemesis/page/2/#findComment-2082021 Share on other sites

I have my own idea about which legion they hail from but discusing that here would I think be off topic. You are wrong about the 8 Astartes being in the same Legion. The quote ..... "'Sire, these others are known to you. Each of them is a Space Marine. They have cast aside their allegiance to Primarch and Legion who have sided with Horus and pledged themselves anew to you, their Emperor and father. I have chosen these eight since allied to their unflinching loyalty, they are each blessed with paranormal skills, kept dormant in respect of your previous commands. However these skills are most apt in combating the horrors that have recently emerged from the warp and I know that they will be needed in the coming years.' 'Malcador you have judged well, these eight Space Marines do indeed have a vital role to play in the future of the Imperium, though veiled in secrecy will they be.' " ....leads me to think they are form at least a couple different Legions. Galadren
And it says psychic abilities kept dormant as well. Not to mention all are from Traitor Legions. Raven Angel
They have cast aside their allegiance to Primarch and Legion who have sided with Horus and pledged themselves anew to you, their Emperor and father. The stament is in the singular. If they were from multiple Legions Malcador would have used the plural. After all its from a book that was edited. The stament is in the singular. If they were from multiple Legions Malcador would have used the plural. After all its from a book that was edited. Actually, it makes grammatical sense for them to be talking about multiple Legions and Primarchs, after all each Marine only cast aside their allegiance to one of each. So each Marine cast aside allegiance to Primarch and Legion. To say Legions there implies that each rebelled against multiple Legions. Phoebus
If it's not about events post-Eisenstein, I'm not sure how it can be about the Grey Knights, the nascent Inquisition, etc. There are two books coming up that are dedicated to the fall of Prospero, so I don't think it's either Space Wolf or Thousand Son-related. Corax's bunch might be covered by "Raven's Flight", and audio book that's also listed as "coming soon". Iron Warriors-Imperial Fists would certainly fit the title, as would Night Lords-Imperial Fists... but where the first is concerned, their Legions' real signature fight won't happen for a while, and where the latter are concerned, it's more about the Primarchs and less about the Legions. I can't guess who it will be about. As much as I want to see the Dark Angels storyline continue, I hope this isn't it (even though the title fits), since I would like to see novels about some of the other Legions first. Actualy you couldnt be more wrong (no offence intended) . The DA story only gets more fiesty! as we know the Lions story finishes a bit after the Einstein Reachers the Fists, hence we dont really know what happens to him later, or how Lion reacts when Perturabo turns Traitor. Not to mention the whole Ordeal with the Lion and the Wolf beeing on a galactic road trip and the wolf wanting to stop for beers n h**s and the lion wanting to go to daddy! I can already think of some amazign scenarion there focusing on the relationships between 2 legendary Beeings such as Primarchs!
