Lovely force, mate. Belial is a real eye-catcher, and your excellent paintjob made really up for the silly pose. :)

Nice recipe for the sword, it's good to see another painter going through the pain-train that is a glazing technique. laugh.png

Keep it up!

Snorri

Bevulf, I am in awe of your painting technique, but I really can't stand that Belial model. The way they oriented the knees of the Terminator armor looks so awkward!

That said, you have improved the canvas greatly, I can't wait to see your Asmodai! Now I see why my stuff will never look as nice as yours: I am not that patient. :D

Thank you Snorri and Bryan !

Glazing is a great technique - I painted some miniatures with this technique in the past and sometimes I use it for certain parts of the models (such as robes). I haven't really used it on melee weapons - Belial's Sword is the first one.

and Bryan your stuff is amazing and IMO it surpass mine in many aspects !

It took me some time but I managed to go further with painting the latest models.

Asmodai is ready and Standard Bearer will follow tomorrow:

I have to say that I have absolutely no idea why GW decided to release new Asmodai without his great banner. I am not a fan of those burning censers. I called it a primitive substitute for a banner (I couldn't resist painting one for our master interrogator).

Hope you enjoy that one.

...and with Belial:

Stunning work, brother. Asmodai is looking absolutely fantastic! It's a shame though that his crozius is bent out of shape...oh well, failcast I guess. It's not distracting enough to make your paintjob look less impressive! The banner is awesome, I really love the free-handing. Once again, impressed by your work. :)

Looking awesome as always Bevulf.  I have a second copy of the models in my hands and they are awful casting.  Im not going to quit till i get nice ones so I applaud your efforts on these even moreso.  Clean, subdued and grimdark stuff my man!

A very BIG THANK YOU for all of you guys ! Your appreciation means a lot !

Stobz strange that you can't see them as they are on the same site as all the others :/  I have also uploaded pics on BaC so you can go to my profile and see them in my gallery.

Ahoi; I can see them at work, must be a glitch in my tablet.

Bevulf: As usual your paint jobs are awesome incarnate, they are so good I can see how truly bad the scuplts are :P, so many small crooked details and missed opportunities. Damn you Failcast, damn you to hell, I wanted an excuse to spend some money, nevermind I'll buy something else, rant over msn-wink.gif

hope you like them !

Just retuned from a painting session and viewing this.... Want to snap my newly 'painted' model in two now....

I would have used the jaw down emoticon but it has been used so many times...Never the less I have to collect it from the floor.

Awsome Work.. You should make a deal with a dentist.. lots of jaws are dropped.

Now for the storm of questions if you dont mind :)

Your red ropes (on the standard bearer), how do you achive such a realistic red?

Your Robes (..) how do you build up to such a smooth transition between the colours? Mine looks like a blanket compared to what your showing here..Also, which colours? :D
