Thanks for all the comments guys, I appreciate you taking the time to post something.

Really digging the freehand on the Rhinos.

Thanks Disruptor_fe404, I'm pretty psyched about how they came out... course, I'm beinning to run out of ideas for variations if I'm going to add any more rhinos. Still that's a worry for another day :P

All very nice as usual. Nice use of the DA Veteran kit. Aklthough... the head on the Rhino gunner seems a little squished.

Cheers Normish! Ah yes, the gunner's head. That wass actually an experiment in green stuffing. I had been monkeying about with some ideas for a chaplain's helmet, but the project kind of got waylaid. When I was putting the rhino together, I came across thehelmet and figured "why not?". My guess is it would have looked better (or at least less squished) if I'd painted it in bone. Still. It was worth a shot. Thanks for the comments

Looking good. Nice to see the Fallen army still growing.

Cheers

Cheers Isiah, As always it's nice to hear from you. I have a couple of Oblits and another squad about 95% done (some skulls and other small details remain) and while I have a command rhino almost complete, I'm still putting together a command squad to ride in it. 2 Vindi's are part painted... After that, I have some ideas for Cypher and a squad... and a predator... What else? Sheesh!!!!! I'm gonna need a bigger cabinet!!!!

Your army looks very good. I am suitably impressed by your freehand work, and I am envious of how well your kitbashing has worked out. I would love to see it faced off against me across the table.

Cheers Dan VK, I appreciate the comments. I have mixed success with these guys (due largely to playing so infrequently) but at some stage I do have to take them out en masse and see how they fare in battle.

Thanks again folks. Stay tuned for more - I should be able to get at least the obits up within the next couple of days.

Cheers

You, sir, have inspired me to return to my Fallen, and do some modifications. I've always loved the Fallen, but mine always looked too 'goody two shoes', and not evil enough. Hope you don't mind if I borrow a few ideas from you? Keep up the great work, these all look awesome!

Why must people keep making such superb threads? My topic tracker will overload! ;)

But apart from the whole turn-to-chaos thing, great work. This is exactly what I imagine the fallen to look like, I'm not too keen to the terminators, maybe because they don't look 'Dark Angely' enough, (Yes, there're fallen, but you know what I mean) perhaps a few more hooded heads/robes would fix it. The exceptions are the Chaos lord and the Chaplain guy. The lord is a brilliant miniature, not because it's fabulously painted, or even superbly converted (not that you've done badly in ether way), but because it captures the feel of a Fallen Lord really well. I like the Chaplain because A: he's got a big pointy stick, and B: it's the first conversion of this miniature I've seen.

Every thing else is superb, the first Demon prince is fabulous (how many times can I say that in 1 post?) and the raptor squad is superb fabulous really good, and has convinced me to make a astorath into a chaplain for my own DA army :P. I think what makes your army so evil looking is the fact many models are looking downwards, as if they've something to hide...

Keep up the good work! More pictures please! :D

Borrow away!!! I will be very happy if any of my ideas help fellow Fallen along the way.

Thanks for the comments Zincite.

Yeah, I guess I can see what you mean about the lack of Fallen-ness. I was more worried about the paint job causing them to look like Black Legion terminators that I didn't think about adding robes or hoods at the time. I guess hind sight really is 20:20. I have ideas for a couple more squads kicking about, and enough black templar bits that I can add at least a few robes, so stay tuned. It should only take a few months to realise those ideas :P

Good luck with adding Astorath. It was a pretty simple conversion - a GS sword on his midriff, GS to cover the BA symbol on the skull shoulder pad, and just filing/carving off any remaining BA details. My next Raptor will be the jump pack chaplain with The Sanguinor's winged pack. Makes for an expensive mini though.

My how the money flows out!!! :D

Anyone else got any other ideas how to increase the Fallen look of these guys? There are only so many Deathwing bits on the DA sprue, I think I'm reduced top doing it via paint... which means black, black, black and a teensie-weensie bit of red. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers guys, keep the comments coming.

Fantastic! I just love the freehand fallen-angel-logos on the rhinos! Made me think of some concept sketches for fallen-logos I drew a couple of years ago. I'll se if I can find them somewhere.

This is exactly what I think the Fallen should look like. Keep up the good work!

@jwentzel - cheers mate, I appreciate it.

@Boonkin - LOL! Thanks. I'm not sure... it started One way, and just kind of grew on its own. in fact, I think it may still be growing when I turn my back

@Angerforce - Cheers buddy!. I'd love to see your concept sketches - I have ideas for a couple more squads, but am starting to run out of ideas for insignias for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Dammeron - Cheers mate, I appreciate the compliment.

@Pattison - Thanks! It's a slow road, but I'm think some of the things i am trying are finally coming together Appreciate the comments.

Alrighty... What with Christmas, New Year, international travel and selling a house, I've hardly had any time to sit down and work on these guys, but I do have some progress.

First up, another Chaos squad, and its Rhino.

And since it'll be a while before I can finish the squad for this, my command Rhino. The banner is a work in progress (my skulls suck)

i love the fluff behind the raptor squad as well. ive been trying to come up with a good fluff idea for my BA successor: The Blood Seekers. where they are still part of the imperium and loyal to it and there planet is a planet of vampire covens near the eye of terror. So basically im making them basically on the verge of being excommunicated for their beliefs (see link in my sig if interested). Your raptors are superb.

btw the shoulder pads, where are they from? Warhammer Chaos Knights?

Anyway, here's the latest addition (It's a new camera which i haven't quite got the hang of yet, so please excuse me if the color balance is a little o
