ha yeah, it was just on my desk and i thought, hmm... maybe this will be better as its more inky, i tried it on spare lightning clas and it looked ok so i did it to these guys.

sorry i was a bit bust over the past few days so ive only just finished the last possessed.

and a view of how it would feel being on the receiving end of their charge.

Looks good, though the red on the armour might need another light wash to make it less bright.

 

By the way, where's the left arm from? It really fits the theme.

the left arm is an ork nob arm which i stumbled across, i thought, wow perfect and bought it, i chopped the harpoon thing off and attached a chaos chain blade and done

a disappointing update.

despite alot of work and anger of repeted layering of parts... i have only coated the whole thing in silver.

i spose this leaves the way clear for real updates in the next couple of weeks ;)

C&C if you have any, i understand theres not alot to comment on.

I like the possessed theme. The movement, bionics, and weapon limbs really come together. I like how the yellow hazard stripes aren't over the top, they are muted, drab, and in select spots. I think the metallic could use a little more depth though. I don't know what color you used for the original but you could try hitting the hard edges with another metallic, then wash some specific spots with a motor oil look.

 

Keep it up, that scorpion might fry your painting brain.

The scorpion does look better with some paint on it, just with the silver it lost the (in my mind) slight un-bulkiness of the torso compared to the legs which it had while it was unpainted.

It can only be getting better, keep up the good work :D

Ooooh shiny! :rolleyes: Crome-away brother, it's looking good so far.

I'd like a "bird perspective" of the claws though to see how the flamers are in comparison to the claws just to check, cause as it looks from this angle the mussle seems to be in the "C" of tha claw ( meaning that if it was to grabb something dense, like a dread, the flamer would break ).

last night i painted some red on to the armour which ill post later as ill be posting a birds eye view.

AFP has found a huge flaw in my scorpion...

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news my friend :D But then again better to see it now than when you're all done with it.

Not having the mod in front of me I can't say where they'd look best... Possibly on the outside of the amrs, under the bg blades?

we have a bigger problem now in the form of the glue used has deformed the plastic beneath :(

Well f you try to simply take away the part of the flamer where the three spikes are, and put the mussle there ( ergo connected right to the tanks pretty much ).

That way the flamer is in the same place, but wont stick out into the "C"...

ok i snipped away as much as i can without breaking it, i cant get the other of with out the claw bending so i dont wanna push it further... icant beleive i mucked this up the armour on the left claw is in the wrong place to :(

 

im gonna add stubbier nozzles in the hope it will be short enough

ok im happy with both claws (sort of) so i cracked on with the rest of the painting. ive now acdded the deep dark red on the armour plates.

and the more improved flamers (not ideal but it will do for me)

and a quick reminder of my test paint and how the rest will be painted

Heck I prefer these flamers! Manly so cause I'm not that big of a fan of the "cone" flamers. The new compact version looks more durable and more suited to be mounted on the arms.

 

The testpaint looks promesing, but I'd bring the red back up a lot, sicne you'll end up with so much metal ( dark´, shiny ) it'll look great with the red ( light, solid ). Look at the FW brass scorpion to see what kind of red I mean Linky.

Those possessed are scary. I like the mechanical modifications you done with them as imo they're more twisted and ferocious looking than the demonically possessed. Also, yay chrome!

great thing about being chaos is i dont have to apolagise to the emperor for being lazy and running out of steam mid LPC

i got bored with exams coming up and suddenly i felt chaos call me once again to the dreaded brass scorpion thats been sat on my desk for months

it is done, which ends my LPC :(

when i say this is done i mean as far as LPC is concerned, i may return back and make changes depending on the feedback i get but its battle standard for me and im happy to leave the thing that made me need to take a long warhammerless break.

please give C&C

Look very nice, but call me picky, it looks unfinished, if you know that I mean? I just feel there should be more colour on the main body.
