Sgt. Tiberus Satio
Here is my Ultramarines fort, it is still unfinished but not by a lot, mainly the scenery around it. I had a blog here and everything but it wound up in the corner because I didn't have time for it. Hope to finish it soon. For the Glory of Ultramar!!!! Bring forth the fury of the Emperor's best and cleanse our Imperium from inside such a fantasic terrain piece! P.S. Loving the Terrain. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185355-showcase-terrain-scenery-and-fortifications/page/3/#findComment-2828978 Share on other sites

DIDM
too bad my old train set is 1500 miles away, :P Â some nice looking tables in here, I may have to take a crack at building one. Luckily my brother is a contractor, he can build it and I will decorate it. 2500kgm3
I worked on a modular system for buildings when I experimented with resin casting. This is one of the sample builidngs I built, a sort of "bastion". As you can see, I'm not a great painter, so it's just drybrushed:  http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/19/403439_sm-.jpg  http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/30/407046_sm-Bastion,%20Buildings,%20Conversion,%20Custom,%20Fortress,%20Gothic,%20Modular,%20Terrain.jpg  (you can zoom in if you click into the pictures)  It is a fairly small building (as the modular system was thought to build a huge cathedral which was as big as the whole playing board) but it can be easily dissasembled during play, and can house 30 miniatures inside it's walls. Maybe sometime I'll manage to build a whole cityscape board using these casted pieces (and avoid that extremely ugly reddish colour xD)  Maybe someday, after I finish my Mordheim scenery and get the missing miniatures for a fluffy list I'd like to build for my marines, I'll work on that gaming board. ixzion
I scratchbuilt this piece a couple of months ago. I made the steps of the stairs big enough so a round base could fit. A bit more peaceful part of the grim darkness of the far future :P. Sorry for the bad pictures, it's a combination of poor lightning and a bad camera. Dr_Ruminahui
That's a nice bunch of terrain - I smiled at the space marine outpost obviously being heavily inspired by the buidings and structures in the Dawn of War video games. Had you meant this to be a general showcase for terrain for all posters to use, or just for your terrain? Either is fine, but if it is the latter we should change the title to remove the word "showcase" - that term is typically reserved at B&C for threads in which any member to is encouraged to post their work. mughi3
Quote  I smiled at the space marine outpost obviously being heavily inspired by the buidings and structures in the Dawn of War video games. Not inspired, they are the buildings from the DOW video games, war scenery has them all, imperial guard, space marines, sisters of battle etc....  Quote Had you meant this to be a general showcase for terrain for all posters to use, or just for your terrain? For everybody, i am interested to see what others have come up with. like i said having been into the hobby for more than 20 years all my armies are pretty much complete so i am really focused on terrain now.   Adding to that....here is the war scenery imperial guard defense line/bunker and aquila strongpoint sets-   A bocage table for 28mm play    monpoc table using Japanese geocrapers city building tiles.  firestorm40k, deathspectersgt7, Brother Lunkhead and 3 others 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185355-showcase-terrain-scenery-and-fortifications/page/3/#findComment-5864580 Share on other sites
Magos Takatus
I really dig those Dawn of War structures, they give a decent sense of scale when you're mostly familiar with ruined corner sections. In the games when a Leman Russ pops out of a factory almost the same size as it it looks a bit daft but when looking at it from the perspective of cover that terrain looks pretty imposing. Also as an aside that Monsterpocalypse table looks great. I only recently heard of the game but it's one of the non-GW games I've been really curious about and that's mainly due to it's miniatures.
