How did you do the metal work mate?

It depends on which area.

For the Brass, I use a base non-gw color. It's called Iridescent Bronze, a Golden Acrylics paint. Then I apply a wash of Badab Black, and for the highlights I use gold. For the arrows and spikes going across the armour or poking out, I highlight the top of the ridges with silver.

For the inner metal areas, I use Boltgun Metal for the base. Wash with Badab Black for the shading, and then highlight with silver. I also add spots of Devlan Mud around certain areas.

For the pistons, I use silver as the base color, wash wiith Badab Black and Devlan Mud, and then highlight with silver again.

Finally! I can say I completed the body of the Titan. I can now move onto the weapons. I touched up some details here and there, but I'm sure there is something I need to touch up still, if anything I'll go over it later. The weapons that I want work on immediately is the Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Laser Blaster, and Melta Cannon.

Enjoy!

It's great seeing an update on this monster, you have been doing an outstanding job on it, the model really has come alive.

Ya, I feel bad for those who've been watching this thread, my lack of activity aint cool. ;)

Thanks for the comment! :)

just stumbled across this thread and i gotta say i'm happy i did!

fantastic work brother, can't wait to see more :tu:

Wonderful paintjob on this monster, man !

The red is really nice, and all the freehands are a cool addition.

Hope to see it finished soon !

Absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see it all finished!

Thanks guys. I'm going at a pretty steady pace, I modified/green stuffed the arm weapons to make them appear more chaos. I should have all the pieces primed today, and I'll start painting them over the next few days.

Just a small update, I've gotten the main weapons I will be using with the Titan primed. Used the same method as before, applying a coat of matte varnish, followed by black primer.

All the weapon bits laid out below.

Enjoy!

Weapons now 66% completed!

Well, managed to get two of the three primary weapons completed. I only have the Apocalypse Missile Launcher left to work on. Both the arm weapons below are magnetized. They are interchangeable, between each arm.

I plan on doing some touch ups and spray the model in a matte varnish afterwords. I also want to make a banner for it.

Enjoy the photos!

Finally, after 2 years of working on this model I've finally finished it. Now, I still have 3 weapon options I need to finish, make a banner, and possibly spray a varnish on the model, but otherwise, it is done. The Titan stands at 16 inches with the Apocalypse Missile launcher attached.

I have gone back and did a few touch up repairs where I could find imperfections, but I'm sure more will come up.

Enjoy the photos and video of the Titan!

You're done with this one, eh? I think that you should reaaaallly make another one :P

The thought has crossed my mind, and then I started screaming. ;)

I am thinking of possibly picking up a warhound at some point, but Im not sure yet.

I've been following this thread with interest since the first post. You have done an amazing job on this model. I would suggest stringing skulls together vertically to make a hanging "Skull Banner." Just a thought.

I actually like that idea. I just need to get a bunch of skulls, which I probably do have amongst my thousand of left over CSM bits.
