Thanks a lot for the comments.

Sorry fellas, but Corax and dante are unique models.

I use to work with GS and a BS of a local brand called Parsec. As far i know is quite simillar to Milliput´s BS.

Also I´m working with a mix of these two epoxy putty (the pale grey-green that you say at some places).

The different putties allows to work better certain details (BS work better for flat and square edges, GS is the main cho¡ce for organic shapes, etc.).

I need to ask you a favour brothers, if you have time, please, take a look at the Corax model and vote:

Truel spectacular work here mate! My only thought is that I never saw Corax looking like that as I don't think it suits the Raven Guard fluff (being a raven guard player myself) as they have pale White skin and deep deep black hair... Not native americany... But that's just my opinion, it's still a stunning model

Thanks Forgefather Vulkan!

I just want to give a Corax´s people a cultural reference. After reading the very few lines about him (and listen the audio-book), I found more rich to visualice the people of Deliverance as native american themed.

A whole universe and all we have are gothic guys, and European myths??? Sounds boring ;) .

About the pale skin, as far I know Corax have a genetic problem (the pale skin, pitch black eyes and ebony hair)... so, he can be a member of any ethnic group, and we don´t know wich one just for his skin colour.

Also, the "White Spirit" tales and the warpaint make a lot of matches on my head with being pale white.

The same genetic disorder goes for the RG marines that later got the Corax geneseed... they start as regular deliverance´s people, and with the pass of the years start to become "white as death" :P .

Anyway, that´s just my interpretation of Corax.

I don´t have the last word about this, just want to tell you what ideas came to my mind about the skin manner.

Regards!

  • 4 weeks later...

After a long time of work another primarch it´s done... Rogal Dorn.

I take as starting reference the work on this character made by J.Blanche at the Horus Heresy artwork, and Mr. Eastwood in the "duel" scene at Gran Torino.

A quick discussion with my client and the following sketch, gives me a solid base to began with the model:

The model that I want to make shows a tower man shaped, a colossus that have the face aged by the war. The mix of human with machine in order to create the perfect paladin of the Imperium.

So no pretty boy face to me.

The model stands 55mm to the top of the head, made 98% from zero with GS, BS, a mix of both putties, plasticard and a few GW bits.

Without further ado, here is my vision of Rogald Dorn, primarch of the VII Legion, the Imperial Fist:

To your glory and the glory of Him on Terra!!!

Sweet mother of..I mean..and the..look at the....GAHH! I can't find appropriate emoticon for this, none of them are bowing down and building idols to your glory. And even if the poor little yellow fellas could, they'd be forced to smash their golden calves the minute they looked back at your own sculpts. Of course then I'd need suicidally depressed emoticons to wallow in their inferiority and...I digress.

Breed. That is all I ask. Fill the world with talented master sculpting sets of little demi-god baby hands. The torch must be passed.

Great work, my only gripe is the head which I don't particularly like. All the rest is absolutely fantastic. Great detail, love the candles especially.
