Thanks for the comments guys!

I'm glad that you find the tutorial useful. :cuss

I was fooling around with my other sarge and tried that effect on his fist powering up and ready to strike.

What do you think?

looks great! I've been struggling to find a way to paint power fists in my head, and so far hadn't come to a satisfying idea, but this adds some new inspiration, so who knows I'll be able to settle on something I'm happy with!

The idea is very good, and yoru execution of it is awesome

Cheers guys!

Thank you for all your support, it really means much and gives me fuel to go on.

As for the update, I give you the Reclusiarch of the Blooded. B)

I repositioned his left arm a little higher to give the impression that he is about to take off.

Next in line is the rest of the 7th squad.

Thanks for watching! :)

At this point the blade already looks great and you can stop here.

I added however another step:

8. Glaze the whole blade with a 3:1 Diluted Skull white, which blends the colors and gives a haze effect on the blade.

Anyone want to explain "Glaze" to me?

Glazing is a form of staining a painted surface and it is achieved by thinning paint or ink with water if you want to subtly reinforce a colour or maybe restore the overall appearance of an area that has been highlighted or drybrushed too much.

It's also a great way to create a strong yellow with some depth in it.

For that all you need is yellow ink at the end.

Btw, thanks for your comments B)

@ Demoulius & Ebsolom

I'm glad you like it guys, it's not that difficult to achieve.

All you need is thinned out paint and a somewhat steady hand. ;)

@ Vharing

The lightning claws are from the assault terminators box.

I cut them just under the elbow, reposition them and that's it.

@ Vonny

Thanks, milady! :P

This red is the recipe that I use lately and probably at some point use at my early made tacticals and Baal.

I do it using in order:

Mechrite red

Devlan mud wash followed by Mechrite red clean up

2 thin layers of Blood red

Tanned flesh highlights

1:1 Tanned flesh and Bleached bone Extreme highlights.

Baal red wash at the end.

I'm hoping to have something finished untill Sunday, since we have a little exibition here.

So I'll try to keep you up to date, untill then.

Nice job on the chappy. Army is looking good. Is that chapter symbol hand painted? It looks awesome. I am most impressed with the details on the scroll. It looks weathered and the writing is spot on. How did you highlight the crozius, dryrbush? The little details on this model are most impressive. Good work!

Thanks Seva & Punkfish!

-Which chapter symbol are you refering to?

-The feathers of the crosius were highlighted by layering 1:1 Bleached bone & Skull White.

The metal part was Highlighted by drybrushing Mithril Silver over Shining Gold and then washed with Gryphonne Sepia.

Chapter symbol on the left arm. Awesome work there. The chapter badge on the knee as well. Well done. The highlight on the crozius I was talking about was on the haft of the weapon. That always gives me fits on that model. When can we expect to see the rest of the 7th squad?

No, the chapter symbol is just a transfer. Microsol works wonders! :)

The only freehand BA symbols on him are on the front of the parchment (look lower front), the coloured one on the back and the kneepad.

I also did a little freehand Grail on the right shoulder, but it can't be seen clearly because the JUmp pack is on the way. :P

The haft of the crosius is drybrushed 2:1 bleached bone & Mechrite Red over Mechrite red, and then pure bleached bone as extreme highlight.

As for the rest of the squad, I've already finished half of them and I will start posting them soon.

I hope that I'll have them finished by Saturday.

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! I can finally present you the 7th assault squad! :HQ:

I've already finished them by Saturday evening, but I wasn't able to take a picture of them until today. (I'll probably finish shooting them by tomorrow...)

Also because this batch did not contained many DC bits and they seemed kind off plain in the eye,

I decided to draw a little motiff here and there, because I like to think of them that they are adorning their armour and paint for themselves their most sacred emblems,

chants and their praises for Sanguinius and the Emperor.

So...I can begin showing you the 2 spwcial weapons of the squad, Flamer & Meltagun.

and some other marines

Next, I think I'll repaint the highlights of my Baal and do some extra weathering. Thanks for watching!
