Hey Guys,

 

Sorry about the Threadromancy and taking so long to repost any progress on anything.

 

First here's the MkIIc (I decided it wass a c pattern :D ) it's still WIP but I felt it was good enough to run in the tournament as was so I stopped and will resume as soon as I procure a can of gloss varnish so I can add further weathering effects and whatnot.

@mysideofthemirror: I just cut a peice of card to cover both doors then figured how big the side boxes needed to be and cut the angled peices long and just trimmed them down till I was happy (does that even make sense?). Once I figured out one side I just traced it and made a second one. the banding along the top and bottom are pre-cut strips of card and those were cut to match the flat peices

 

 

Also the tourney was great there about 25-30 people and I finished somewhere in the middle, but did end up with the coveted 'Best Sportsman' award. Overall it was a great event and I really enjoyed it, if the guys throw it again next year I will definitely go.

 

 

As far as my Fallen is concerned I decided to name him 'Eligos' and here's the wiki entry too for some more info if you care. The name just seemed to fit everything from my ideas for fluff to the sound of the name and the short length lending it the ability to add it to banners and such.

I love your plane. Vendetta it's called? I love it, I especially love how you did the Sword on the top. Just a quesiton. Is the sword broken or not? Hard to tell.

He mentioned that it's a traitor Imperial Guard army being led by a fallen, not a DA-sanctioned army.

Is the DA iconography too much on the Vendetta? I think it makes sense but this thread has got me thinkin...mmmmm....

 

@jaxom: I freehand drew the out line over the red, masked the red, then sprayed the black over and removed the mask. There's a few more details at the blog if you're interested.

 

Shard is correct it's a 'counts as' army and is basically renegade guard led by Eligos the Fallen <Straken's rules are monstrous-he is better stat-wise in all regaurds except Initiative but his furious charge balances that out.

 

I was going to write up some fluff and even due like a 'Codex Entry' for him but re-write the fluff and names of the rules to match him.

 

?: If I do indeed writ that up is that something I can post here or should I just post in my lig and link to it?

 

Also people requested a group shot with him and the army, that should be going up onto the blog in the next couple days, I took a couple pics but they just looked crappy so nce I set everyone up I'l snap some more shots.

 

Anyways thanks as always guys and lets try to keep the DA board full of interesting topics and thoughts.

Don't you find it ironic, we as Dark Angel players, are commenting on how great a Fallen looks like? Good thing Asmodi is not around, I think we all would be going to cell 42 or what ever the room number is. :blush:

I'm just gonna sneak one shot of Eligos with his Freak Squad on the display base I'm working on for them. They're mostly not power armoured but he is :blush:

Made the 'stone' part reddish thinking it would bring out the subtle greens, don't think it really shows in the pic, but what do you guys think is it working? (also I'm going to paint parts of their bases to match the red/tan 'stone'
