What Am I Talking About?

Recommended Posts

Hey, guys and guyesses!

The helpful folks here at the Bolter and Chainsword have never let me down yet, so here's hoping they're not about to. :P

I'm thinking back to something I found most helpfully, in a Blog of some description, which can only be described as a 'Paint-On Masking' to preserve that area's last-painted Colour.

Anyone know what in the name of All Things Holy I'm talking about?

Answers On a Post Card, chappios!

Tropicana

Would it be masking liquid/fluid you are talking about? You can paint that on in order to protect the previous layers colour.

Hope that helps!

Testors also have a product called "maskol".

It's a kind of purple-ish latex masking liquid (so you can tell where you've put it).

Apply, allow to dry then overpaint. When the paint is dry, peel off the mask. Works the same as the W&N stuff but has been used by modelmakers for decades.
